Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know there are safe bicycle riding courses available in the greater Dublin area for adult beginners?

Do you mean to learn how to cycle or how to increase road confidence or maybe to learn group/club cycling?

If you are looking for a book with tips on how to cycle safely then I highly recommend this book although I haven't read it in a while.

    Whats your background

    New to cycling full stop?
    Just back on road now?
Want to cycle for leisure versus commuting?
    Any physical factors worth mentioning?
What type of bike have you or expect to have?
What are your main concerns that has led to you looking for training?

I'm not trying to be nosy, but depending on the answers the type of advice could be quite varied.

Think this is a good shout. I’ve seen them on the road with groups of cyclists of all ages that look like they’re are just getting introduced/re-introduced to the joy of cycling.

Cycle Right, or Bike for Life are what you're looking for. I don't know if Cycle Right is for adults, but I think Bike for Life is. They're on the Cycling Ireland website.

    Would also recommend this book,
It changed how I handled busy roads when living in a city years ago, that change made me much safer

If there's an Axa Community Bike Ride near you, they are a good way to gain confidence in a group without pressure.
