Anyone tried any of this company's beers? Made in Sligo..

They are now being stocked my LIDL and are on offer at the moment..

They make some good beers but they do a very wide range of styles. Some may not be to everyone's taste.

surely a "very wide range" is a good thing..

‘Little Fawn’ Session IPA (4 x 330ml)
The flavour is fruity hops with aromas of blueberry, passionfruit, and grapefruit. Well balanced, with a mild lingering bitter finish.

‘Phantom’ Hazy IPA (4 x 330ml)
Golden and Hazy, with a hint of orange hues; topped off with a white fluffy head. Hop forward, juicy tropical and stone fruit, supported by dank, sticky pine. Intense tropical fruit, citrus and pine. Soft carbonation, dripping with juicy hop oils.

‘Ninth Wave’ New World Pale Ale (4 x 330ml)
Creamy with a light toast, citrus and mango fruits on the nose.

No, it's not a bad thing but an unsuspecting buyer could be caught out with a style that's really not for them if they are unfamiliar with craft beers.
I really like some of their beers, others I'd feel sympathy for my drain pouring them down it!

I don’t like IPA’s but I frequently buy their mixed stout/Porter boxes directly from them. I’ve yet to have one that I thought was bad. Probably the most consistently good craft brewery I have come across for stouts and porters.

Defo one of the best Irish breweries. I've been drinking their beer on and off since they launched and joined their beer club earlier this year to try more of their specials and collabs without the hassle of having to hunt them down.

Their core range of beers are v good IMO and Ninth Wave is one of my favourite beers.

Saying that though, they love to experiment and have brewed some absolutely awful stuff (I'm looking at you pastry stouts and shamrock shake)

I think the 4 packs are €8.99 in lidl at the moment which is good value (IMO)

The only pastry stout I wasn’t fond of was the Mexican Hot Chocolate one. It sounded much nicer than tasted, but it was drinkable.

I liked the Shamrock Shake as a refreshment after cutting the grass in the evening

I actually have a can of the Mexican hot chocolate down stairs that I haven't got around to yet. I've been avoiding it. The shamrock shake went straight down the sink after the first sip... I still shudder when I think of it.

Had a can of little Olcan last night and really enjoyed it.

awe sure you would say that about anything.. eg: cheese in particular springs to mind lol.. its up the us the customers to inform ourselves before purchasing..

I think its good that craft beer companies experiment - push the boundaries.. otherwise, there would be numerous brands selling similar products..

Of course, not all will be to everyone's liking, and some might even be dud eggs.. thats only natural

You've described my entire WH relationship too. Though I flip between Ninth Wave/Atlantean/Bran Sceolan as a favourite ðŸ˜€

Mrs B is very fond of their Hellas and Kolsch, which makes my spend easier

I do get a slagging from the DPD delivery guy thoughðŸ˜œ

Currently drinking one of their Phantom IPAs I picked up in Lidl. Not one of theirs I had tried before. I like it. Very drinkable.

Atlantean possibly my favourite beer, definitely up there anyway.

I really like most of White Hags stuff but Dungarvan, when you open a bottle its like the money shot in a porno. Hard to rate them as half the beer is all over the kitchen nearly every time you open a bottle.

yes that happens us sometimes of late with bottles of Helvic Gold.. didn't in the past.. mayb they have changed something.. doesn't seem to happen with Copper Coast.. but they are selling some of their beers in cans now and its not an issue with them..

Atlantean my favourite too.

I think Little Fawn is a good session though, but tend to pick up a couple of Cheap Flirt over the white hag 4 pack when I'm in Lidl.

They hold the best taster party weekend (Hagstravaganza) in the country, at the brewery in Ballymote. Haven't missed one yet!

Their core range is a really good selection of 'gateway beers', not the best version of the style but generally good enough to please everyone. I like their sours in particular for this reason

Big fan of them too - I love Atlantean and little Fawn.
Some of the pastry stouts are fantastic, Salted Caramel is my favorite and they have some cracking seasonal ones like the Pumpkin Ale

They do have a monthly subscription which is great to get some core ones and the specials as they are brewed.

White Hag and Kinnegar are my 2 favorite Irish craft brewers. Just got the box of the Festa Nuda stout, one of the nicest stouts I've tasted

I see the White Hag have announced they're releasing an Orange Ice Cream Ale. I'll probably grab this one as I enjoyed the Shamrock one they released around Paddy's day
