Hi all, have decided to upgrade the scope in my rifle. Have searched online in Ireland but can't find what I am looking for. Thinking of buying one from Europtics based in Slovenia. Has anyone done this, are there any issues with bringing a scope into Ireland.

I’ve bought a few accessories off them in the past. Cant imagine there’d be too much of an issue getting a scope off them. I stand to get corrected on this tho.

    Also a happy eurooptics customer.

Had zero issues at all, good warranty service too.

Never forget, the end goal is zero firearms of any type.

    Also try optics-trade.eu
There are also sometimes good deals to be had from uttings.co.uk or
    sportsmanguncentre.co.uk depending when you look

If buying from the UK don't forget to factor in custom duty, as they are non EU
NI is still working under EU customs rules.

Optics Warehouse is another good one but yea, getting stung with customs takes the value out of it.

Is euro optics not a US company?

Once the item is already imported into the EU before it’s shipped to you duties and taxes should already be taken care of.

I recently bought a scope and mounts from Optics Trade-EU. Some mishaps along the way, but all put to rights and a significant discount given because of the delay. On top of that, due to my error I couldn't use the mounts I ordered. Optics Trade-EU sourced suitable mounts at no charge, they'll just take the unused mounts by return. I am impressed, very impressed. Others experience may differ, but I'll be pleased to buy from them again.

I've used Optics Trade several times : - S&M PMII, Vortex Crossfire, Sightmark Red Dot. No issues, all arrived each time in about 4 working days, even during the lockdown.

If ordering from UK keep in mind if the scope magnification is 10X or more then the seller needs to obtain an export license in the UK. There is no cost as such involved but it will take time and effort on behalf of the seller. Post Brexit lots of extra cost in terms of tax, duty and handling fees. In the past I ordered a scope I could not source in Ireland from an online retailer in Germany with no issues or complications.
