Long Shot Request (Claris Part)

This is probably hopeless but I lost the little plastic window from the top of a Claris groupset on a ride today, this will drive me crazy, is there any chance thats a generic Shimano part you could get a replacement for somewhere? This must have happened to other people before:

I had a similar issue with an old Ultegra one and found one on ebay, so I suggest you ha e a look there.

Not being helped by it also being the name of a famous waterfilter brand, what would you call it exactly?

It's the name plate I believe, open to correction on that though.

And yeah missing that would drive me nuts.

SJS have 3 types. Postage is horrendous though.

Yeah those are everywhere, can even get them on Aliexpress, no clue what its off though, not mine in the pics anyway

Looks like it is the name plate thanks, if it was an Ultegra or Tiagra Id be sorted but no sign of mine.

Might be worth checking some bike shops that specialise in repairs only see if they have any lying around from having replaced parts over the year.

For example Bee cycles in Dublin 8.

It was never available as a spare part from Shimano, so a used spare from a dead lever is your best bet.

Interesting, thanks for looking that up. So I assume that rules out buying an Ultgra or one of these promising looking Sora versions then (even though the incorrect branding would annoy me as much as the empty socket).

Not sure what was wrong with my searches the other day, there were literally none of these to be had now theres a good few on Ebay and Aliexpress. All in China though, are fake Claris' a thing? Doesnt matter anyway I need to knock another year out of this bike because of the shortages anyway and its just a cosmetic fix.
