Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

will be interesting to see if the issues that are causing the disruption will suddenly go away with a new operator.
something tells me that some how they won't but i guess we will have to wait and see.

Same problems are very unlikely I'd say if it was a new operator as they'd presumably be new drivers and wouldn't be in a position to pull stunts like that so early.

Can't rule out other issues though like GAIs interworking malarkey on their Ex-DB orbital routes.

The NBRU have little thought and regard for their staff and the quality of the work they have done for years considering they oppose the tendering!!

Why would they be so opposed? Surely if the quality of service provided by their staff, staff who go the extra mile in a cost efficient manner and is up to professional standards, they'll be awarded the tender without a doubt...

the evidence seems to suggest otherwise with apparently a reasonable satisfaction rate with the NBRU as a representative body, possibly a high satisfaction rate even.
the quality of the work the staff do is a management issue ultimately.

they opposed the tendering because at that stage it hadn't been set in stone as to how everything was going to actually work, once that was sorted out they had no reason to oppose it given it was going to happen anyway and they were going to get new members so what's not to like.

    What evidence?

It is understood that Bus Éireann is planning to compete strongly to retain the right to operate these routes as part of the process.

Why could they not strongly ensure a quality service while they actually had it? Also 'the right to operate these routes'?

the operator who would win the tender would be the only one who would be able to operate those routes for the duration of the tender, ergo they would be the only one with the right to operate those routes.
no other operator can operate the same routes, it's currently the same with bus eireann operating the route.
