Anyone heard of this latest pop up.

Whilst intentions may be generally well placed they seem to be promising the sun, moon and stars with little knowledge of the regulations surrounding patient transport.

Volunteers would appear to be drawn from the emergency services so I should think that they are quite aware of requirements.

This is not an emergency ambulance service but rather a means of getting people to appointment.

    all the best to them

Maybe I'm mistaken but it doesnt matter what emergency service they come from as is it not the requirement not to have a minimum of an EMT with the patient in the back?

That said if they are just taxiing people around in a comfortable environment then it may not apply.

It was set up by a girl in the ambulance service in Waterford. Her mum was diagnosed with cancer three times and there was no transport available to bring her to the appointments. She passed away and her daughter set this up in her memory to help other people in the same situation. Fair play to them
