Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need some recommendations for first car purchase

Hi all – Looking for some suggestions, I’m looking to get a new car in the next few weeks and it’s my first time buying, I have been driving the same car that was passed down to me for 6ish years now and it is now officially a banger.

Budget is 7-9k and I’m planning on keeping it for 2/3 years, also no kids so don’t need to take that into account.

    I do around ~12k a year.

I want to get a Saloon, 2012 or newer, 170k max mileage, and the two cars I know that I definitely like at the moment are an A4 and A5 but finding one of those in my price range that matches above seems like it might be tough. Any suggestions/advice for these models or other makes and models would be greatly appreciated.
