Or any of AAA/PBP/RISE. Seeing them in the Dail, they remind of that kid who kept shouting stuff out in class thinking that they were funny, whilst in reality they're just an inconvenience for everybody.

He doesn't really accomplish anything. He keeps dividing from other leftist parties making the left weaker.

He keeps going on about how they pull together but i mean having both PBP and RISE makes no sense they should join together.

Was funny to hear him on Pat Kenny show saying Willie Walsh knew nothing about flying.

He was an Aer Lingus pilot sure and Murphy had no answer when that was pointed out

I've heard this alright. He'll also reply to comments disagreeing with him on Facebook, and immediatley block the user from replying to give the impression that his supreme knowledge has outwitted his opponent.

I've met him a few times working on community based projects. He tends to show up, has a rant, blames the usual suspects, offers no practical solutions or help. Himself and especially SF and to a lesser extent PBP will look at what you're doing and if they think there's political mileage in it they'll bandwag0n it and attempt to take over it. if they see no use in it they leave you alone (which is what you want).

Useless in 3.5 years as an MEP, just loves to have himself pictured with a megaphone in his hand.

He doesn't seem to be able to make alliances with people in power who could maybe help him with his agenda ..nor does he seem to think this is important.

Some of his causes are simply publicity rallies to the left ...there is no point to some of his causes.

The charges against him brought by Joan Bruton were totally bogus. And unjustified what she did was so very very wrong. I had hopes for him at that point. I feel very let down by him though.

Yep ...and he edits his own comments ..if it was obvious he was being down right nasty ...i get the impression he doesn't like women.

PBP will absolutely soap box ANY protest or organized political gathering and stuff their own leafets and pr packages down people's throat's.

Even if they had ZERO to do with the organization of it or very few people who came were to do with PBP.

They got called out for it once at an anti racism protest about a guy who had been attacked when they tried to go on a rant about unemployment and let that issue take over the entire time.

All you could see in photos of the event were THEIR posters literally everywhere with 'Unemployment vote pbp ' or whatever.

You would have SERIOUSLY thought it was a rally for them canvassing. But they had nothing to do with the event.

The actual organizers were pissed. PBP even got an interview with press there to cover the event. It was all we PBP ...are standing against this .no other party is ..we PBP came here today.

Remember when Paul Murphy told poor people not to pay their property tax, and then those people got brought to court and got shafted and Paul disappeared. Then a couple of years later Paul was caught paying his property tax.

Joan Burton didn’t bring any charges.

It was the DPP who brought the charges against the six men.

I think Paul is more interested in sitting their ranting and pointing out the issue then ever actually doing anything to fix the issue. It is alot easier to say something needs to be fixed when you aint the one that will have to fix it.

He is inheritently unlikeable. It appears that his voter base is slowly finding this out too, based on this trend of first preference votes in Dublin South West:

2014: 27.2%
2017: 13.4%
2020: 6.6%

If he doesn't stop that trend then his seat will be gone at the next election.

That is it .........literally.

His protests discredited real objections to austerity measures they were outlandish and his political theater made them seem on the fringe when they weren't. Austerity really hurt people. But it suits HIM to been seen as on the fringe it gets him votes. Every couple of months he invents this new cause he is needed for. Which usually has nothing to do with he people he is elected to represent and they probably don't fully understand it either.

MM heavily involved in the crisis of 2008, 13 years later we make him leader of the country. Now presiding over a disaster effort of Covid19.

Eoghan Murphy resigned during the week, he failed miserably with his housing brief, off he rides into the sunset with 70k and a nice pension.

Education minister Norma Foley is the worst I've ever seen, but it's ok because she's a woman. In no other sector would her level of incompetence be ignored.

Murphy and BB are tools but we do need these people to call out the government for their mistakes. SF are just perpetual losers who are afraid of actually being elected to power. Cowards.

He is not even interested in pointing out the issue. He likes to make up fake issues.

Like this thing CETA. It doesn't really give business any more right to sue the govt than they have now already. He keeps going on it does. It just streamlines the courts it doesn't give them courts they don't have already. And he should KNOW this ..he has a law degree supposedly. THere already are investors courts. And ceta refers to the paris agreement so ..its bound by that too. So it can't be used to strike down actions the govt takes to implement paris. And most govts won't EVEN implement paris properly. anway.

He used it as a rallying cry for the left imo. To drum up his supporters. Its how he keeps the leftest voter active motivated and on his side. But he does nothing for them.

He gains way more as an activist from these causes than anyone. Its his career its helping.

Plus he DOESNT mention what will happen in the EU if ireland says no.
