And 6 owners, doing an average of 30,000 km each and less than 14,000 km per year. Hmmm.... such a nice car to have such little use by so many owners?

Why do people question high mileage, and low mileage, and average mileage and high owners or low owners when this particular car is very middle of the road for what it is? It's beyond me, people can't win

It is a question of eyes wide open. High mileage, low mileage, both are worth checking. High owner count is generally worth checking out, but low mileage and high owners is certainly worth checking out. Does he service record check ot?

People an win, but eyes wide open.

Have we had any F01 or F02 7 series in true Luxobarge territory yet?

€2500 with test, some tax and service history. Am I missing something that has this priced so low?

On a real note, back bumpers been rubbed and the boots had a few knocks is probably why it's 'cheap'

That's one of the qualifications for a luxobarge. If it were cheap to tax it would probably be selling for at least twice the price.

    Thats dreamer money!

What value would you place on a car in this condition? Just curious as there seems cars like these are still sought after.

I'm sure that S350 was posted in the previous thread also. Same pictures as well.

Slightly over budget but this is a nice looking 500 LWB.

Two owners, fresh NCT, nice bit of tax etc. Taxed for 12 months last time too, always a good sign

Cloth seats? Using the phone so not too clear. I notice cloth seats on a lot of Luxobarges in Japan, is it a personal preference or cheaper version that makes their decision?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,086 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

Cloth seats, yeah. Some say that the Japanese prefer cloth to leather because its quieter..i.e no leather squeaks if you're sitting in the back seat

If you get a reg. of a UK car that suits, your insurers should be able to give you a quote.

Seeing what else he has in that driveway would lead you to be pretty confident in that yoke.

Thibk I read before that cloth seats were preferred, left the interior cooler than leather given the climate, and leather could degrade/crack in the sun more too. Event eh Toyota Century typically had woolen seats.

    That Honda is nice.

Lads would it make sense to have a new thread or incorporate into this one, say the German brands, but say six cylinder cars, so 3 series, 5 series etc., same 5k budget criteria. Otherwise it's just s class and 7 series primarily, that many aren't buying. Might increase a activity a good bit here...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,477 ✭✭✭ofcork

New thread be better luxobarges are s class/7ers/A8 Lexus LS etc.

Lower the standard or increase the budget, there's less to be had on here since Brexit.
