Any opinions on these, things to consider/look out for? Reliability wise and in terms of running the car? They seem like a steal on Donedeal at the min a lot of car for 15k - too good to be true?

Yes, we had one for 16 hours from a main (but not MB) dealer. So many things wrong with it and having read up when things go wrong , they really really go wrong.

The hybrid drive is integrated into the gear box and requires a MB specialist if there's issues.

Have a look through my posts, I had a 132 Estate for 2.5 years and loved it. Not a single rattle or anything broken at 250k km when in sold it. Exceptional motorway cruiser and the estate is the biggest in its class.

Aside from normal servicing (€170 @ dealer) and ongoing maintenance which I kept on top of, I had one issue which was due to a broken bolt on the OM651 2.1 Diesel air intake manifold. Common issue to that diesel engine, also used in the E220 and E250. €1700 fix.

Other things include a coolant leak and suspension airbag replacement. Expected at 250k km to be fair.

Not a single problem with the hybrid drive, they're very reliable by all accounts.

They're cheap as the VRT at the time was 50% less than the diesel, so most are imports.

As with any Mercedes which was €60k new, avoid anything without a full main dealer history like the plague.

Thanks for the feedback, we're probably going to go Jap, Prius or Lexus hybrid or the like! E300 still very attractive but can't swing the maintenance costs.
