It's a Fit so it looks like a Jazz but very few parts will be the same.

7 seater 2006 S-Max with NCT to August for 1k:

Never have and hopefully never will need a 7 seater but might be of interest to someone

    Honda Accord 2009

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/honda-acccord/27644275

I might have a look at this and try and get it down to around 2k as it seems to be up for sale for a while. Does anyone have any insight on what I should look for in this Accord?

Talk to the owner but based on the pics something doesn't feel right about that car. Two shades of silver to start with on the driver side and only 7k km done since November 2019. Reg number is hidden but readable on the NCT cert if you want to do some reg checks.

Cracked exhaust manifold seems to be common you'll notice while stopped with the heater fan running, the usual clutch and flywheel maladies, they're a very comfortable car to travel in.

In the 4th pic, The passenger side bumper doesn't seem attached to the wing. The wheel arch gap on front drivers side is unusual

Drivers door is a different shade to the rest of the car.

Bumpers looking wrong shade is normal on those Accords.

Thanks everyone, I have found the same car on an older Done Deal ad

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2009-honda-accord/27458269

There are a few different pictures here.

I messaged the owner and she said price negotiable and it needs a new heater plug (warning light on) but otherwise driving fine. I haven't asked about the drivers door yet.

    Is the car worth pursuing?

    No.

Thanks, pity as I like the Accords. The search goes on.

I wouldn’t buy one unless it was exceptional and had proof of being minded.

Exhaust Manifold is not an issue on the I-DTEC, the manifold is one piece unlike the I-CTDI N22 which had a two piece welded version.

If you had a budget of €2k for a saloon/estate what would you go for. Or is it a case by case basis at that age of car?

I wasn't referring to the paint, it was the attachment of the bumper to the passenger wing that is off especially in the latest advert.

Getting hard to find cars like that in the banger market.

Thanks for highlighting, bought this today, in immaculate condition not as much as a speck of dirt inside, well minded, the woman in almost tears seeing it going. Drives like a dream for a car that age.

You don't see many of them about.!

Is the gearbox a cvt or a mmt in those

Oh yeah, for sure. The wheel looks to be in the wrong place even!

I was more talking about the rear bumper when it looks like it’s 2 different colours.

Case by case really. They’re hard to find though.

Went and viewed this and bought it for €350
1.4 tdi nct'd until jan 2022. Had a new clutch last year, 4 new tyres. Needed a good clean and will need a service and drop links but nothing major. Cheap motoring :)

Grand job. One month of tax left; previous owner probably didn't want to pay any more tax on it. But at least you don't have to worry about the NCT for a while.

Folks, anyone for a bangernomics convertible?

Should be available next week for anyone who wants some covid friendly motoring. My winter project is almost complete just want to clean up the interior and then it's good to go.

2001 Renault Megane 1.6L 16v, NCT June 2022, Tax July 2021, 58k miles, new timing belt, water pump, tyres (4xKumho with 300 miles done), roof has been treated, air, oil and fuel filters changed, oil changed, new plugs, new CV boots, front wheel bearing and rear wheel bearing, new discs and pads also with sliders greased, new rear chassis brace fitted, new windscreen due to crack, new wipers, few marks on the paint from shopping trolleys etc, very clean underneath, lather seats, aircon, electric windows, 6 cd changer.

Price is €2,000 but bear in mind it's ready to go and needs nothing. PM me if you're interested. It's not on Donedeal and won't be for another week.

I reset the obc when i put €20 in and averaged 60mpg on the drive home, i was surprised at that as the roads were fairly hilly/twisty roads lot of slowing down and speeding up.I didn't really expect much performance wise being 1.4tdi but it's nippy enough but I wouldn't go as far as to say its quick!

I Haven't got a completely true reading for you yet because trying not to drive much until i have it serviced up so still using her car! The parts are estimated delivery 04/05 free delivery is why they take so long!

Driving style has a big impact on mpg though. as the mrs octavia average's 47ish when she drives. if i drive the same trip it will be either 60mpg or just shy of it.

    85000 miles

II wouldn’t take the seller too seriously, he says it’s a top spec model too, despite it being the basic Royale model.

These Megane II are so undesirable, it’s a €1000 car at best. €2k is bonkers for it.

Yeah, picked up one around this time last year for my sister, a tidy 2008 diesel hatchback in black with a pan roof, sensible mileage for €900 iirc. €1950 is €1k overpriced even given it's condition. It does look tidy and well presented though, it could be a nice but, for less.
