Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The current civil service mobility scheme has expanded to cover practically all civil servants with the exception of the following:
    - Professional & technical grades, for which they say consideration will be given at a later date.

Anyone have any idea on the likelihood of this on the near future?

I looked into this a couple of years ago. I know our union which I'm not a member of is looking into it. I'm guessing it's become our pay is slightly higher than the equivalent grades

Thanks for the reply, I actually don’t think it’s an issue with slightly higher pay grades as with recent CS mobility internal emails this seemingly is not a problem for PO mobility (a PO higher grade can transfer using mobility and retain his higher grade).

It might be a Union issue (with some specialist branches wary of opening up to this).

If it’s not pay then I don’t see what the delay is?

Just an update on this query. I emailed the civil service mobility contact email address some time ago and (after having my query passed on to another contact) got informed that discussions have started with CS unions on mobility for professional & technical grades.

I’m not sure how long this would take, or if this might encounter difficulties yet overall I think this is a very positive development.

That's brill thanks, reapplying to an open competition for a lateral move would be a bit soul destroying :D
