A classic tactic of Joe's is to drill into minute detail when discussing something controversial to avoid the caller saying anything inflammatory.

He turned her section into a geography lesson.

i really dislike these sensitive topics being discussed on liveline because callers think they are getting a sympathetic ear and the're most definitely not getting this.

I remember a guy who could never eat in front of anyone else, always had to eat in privacy. I'm sure he's far from unique.

Isn’t is strange that this dysfunctional relationship with food only seems to occur in circumstances where there is plenty of food available?

It's not right that people reaching out for sympathy or help are being led on and used to meet other people's needs and strange interests.

A fundamental facet of human psychology is that problems arise most when there is plentiful supply of whatever it is that's fundamental to the issue.

So, for all the things you've tried, and the list I'm sure is familiar,
Do you not think yourself that you're slowly getting illier?
Gorging yerself with pies and chips and mutton biryani
And puking it up into the jax make you feel a fanny
