Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Poured Floor Insulation

    Any thoughts or experiences on poured floor insulation versus the normal sheets of insulation board?

    For a new build with underfloor heating.

    you will find that you will need far greater depth than if you use a PIR board. This will mean extra block work which would increase the cost of the build.

    Haven't used the product myself but I can see the benefits around services and the likes. At 0.057 vs 0.022 it looks like 2.5 times the depth of PIR, so my standard 150mm PIR to floors becomes 375mm of Thermal Bead screed. Don't like the sound of that sort of depth !

    yeah its not a substitute for insulation, but moreso to complement insulation where space is tight.

    id imagine its good for use say in a retrofit where the client wants UFH and the depth to play with is too tight for standard 120 PIR and a screed

    This is not an actual finish screed product. You still need to top it off with a extra screed layer.
