    Hey guys,

I have just finished my last round of FE-1s and have a training contract with Matheson for 2023. I'm now trying to decide on how to fill the next two years until I start my training contract. Does anyone here have any experience in getting pre-trainee roles and could share with me how they went about it? Other ideas as to the type of roles that are suitable for my situation are also very welcome!

Lol I'm in the exact same position as you. Due to start at A&L in 2023. The big firms usually have secondment and paralegal opportunities for pre trainees so keep an eye open if you see any. The firm usually contacts you about positions available for pre trainees and you have to apply with CV I believe. For my part, I'll be doing some volunteering and going traveling when the opportunity opens. I'm conscious of the fact that I'll probably never again in my life have 2 free years to do whatever I like. I live with my parents and have money saved up so I would silly not to take the opportunity.
