What happens if Byrne/McGrath and the Leinster pack put a lot of pressure on Munster’s back 3? Who plays any of those positions if one has to go off? Carberry moves to full back?

    JJ 10 and Carbery 15 I'd say.

JVG has consistently selected Rory Scannell on the bench and I can't say I understand it. Daly would make sense to provide a back three option.

JJ is quite comfortable at FB also

We've seen Farrell move to the wing the odd time as well when necessary. Shane Daly must be disappointed tho.

Puts paid to the nonsense being spouted by some on here that neither Leinster or Munster care about the Pro14.

    Cracking teams, roll on tomorrow.

Serious teams and benches on show. Was hopeful Leinster wouldn’t be so loaded but at least they have no excuses when we finally beat them tomorrow.

For me it’s a really critical fixture for this Munster side. More important than next week. It’s a chance to win silverware and also beat your biggest rival who have dominated for the last number of years. Time to step up and deliver on the big occasion.

Leinster have Sexton and Furlong on the bench! They’re quite good!

It was more a point of the IRFU not caring about the Pro14 and therefore holding internationals back from the provinces. Anyway, that was wrong.

Not to mention 4 starters missing through injury, and another few missing that might make the 23 when fully fit. But anyways....

Just saw the Munster team on twitter and Gerry Thornley shouted through my letterbox "Munster going absolutely locked and loaded for this one"

Who cares we want the two best attacking teams which are Connaht and Ulster :D

Munster won’t take the lead at any point in the second half.

Cos they'll retain the lead they had from the first half. ;)

Very pleased to have predicted 22 of the Leinster 23, with a bit of mix and match from the bench.

Delighted both sides are going full bore, only right.

Leinster will win by between 10 and 20.

I'm not sure. I think Munster might win this.

To be fair the fans also don't care too much as seen by the attendance at most Pro 14 games.

Even in the mad days when Munster fans were selling their children for tickets to Millennium stadium a lot of those "die hards" couldn't be added show up for the Magners league games

They'll have a big first half lead built up by the first halfs end you mean?..I quite agree

Is RG Snyman the only player missing from Munster who would likely be in the 23? That's remarkable at this stage of the season.

Considering Leinster are missing James Ryan, Will Connors, Caelan Doris and Garry Ringrose, I think it will be a MIRACLE if Leinster can pull off an upset and take the win.

now the pro 14 is the holy grail for munster.

Indeed, it will take some performance for the bookies favourites, Leinster to get over the line.

We can afford to lose them, we have every bit as able replacements.

Thats the great thing about being the biggest Club in global rugby, you have a roster of 50 to 60, the top 40 of whom would walk onto a starting XV anywhere else.

We're gonna take ye and we're gonna mess with ye like a cornered mouse, then in the second half, we're gonna pull away like a bus on a dirt road on a hot summers day, all blinding dust and choking oil smoke and ye won't know which way is up.

God I miss the RDS of a weekend.

Fineen Wycherley & Dan Goggin would certainly have their hands up for being included on the bench but they could as easily have not been selected.

I think judging by how he was going & what was being said about him without injury Hodnett could quite possibly have pushed his way into the match day 23 by this stage of the season.

I think only RG is missing from the 15 though which is huge.

I'd wager Killer could've started too if he had been back from injury awhile longer. Cronin's been in good form this season tho.

Keenan and Kearney in the back three really negates Munster's kick the leather off the ball approach.

We may actually see a game of rugby for once.

Sure the bookies only follow the market and all ye cute Munster hoors have been lumping on Leinster to skew the odds and make Munster the underdogs.

Kilcoyne being named on the bench after a clear concussion last week.

well yes, arguments could be made that Daly would have expected to be involved aswell but that wasn't the point I was replying to which was just about availability, Killer is available obviously

Sure we're just simple farmers, we wouldn't have the disposable income to be spending on extravagant things like betting.
