On its own, maybe. But in combination with all the other slips and mistakes he's been making, it's definitely a somethingburger.

Nah. Sure, he stumbles over words at times. But the content of what he says is excellent. Proper policies based on reality and equality. Nobody with half a brain gives a crap about the odd mishap. In fact, if the Trumpists focus on his personal mishaps, then that's fine. Gives them a little toy to play with while the adults get on with dealing with real problems.

I suppose the difference being someone’s supporters portrayed him as a Zeus like figure.
The picture of masculinity and strength.

That's a very good point tbf.

That some have Trump as any sort of alpha when he's clearly overweight and whose diet is very poor is very odd.

They are 2 old men so you will see stuff like this now and then, I don't think its hugely alarming no matter what your opinion on either politics is.

Vlad is absolutely merking him off.

You have issues separating things that happened from things that didn't happen. I think it would be prudent for me to take anything you say with a generous helping of salt. And from a sense of compassion, I would also suggest that you don't navigate the internet without a grownup or a child over the age of 8 to help you.

i think regardless of what side of the isle you are on, no one should criticise an elderly man for slipping.

*elderly by the UN definition* The United Nations has agreed that 65+ years may be usually denoted as old age[9] and this is the first attempt at an international definition of old age.

It's memes. Some people are mad into memes, a word who's meaning has warped over the years, but it's how they inform themselves about what's going on. It's simpler than reading articles that have too many words in them.

That's how you get shít-for-brains questions about first-month State of the Union addresses and whatnot - they see it in a meme and that's enough for them. Why bother learning something when you can just share the text off a picture as if you had an original thought?

Personally, I think Biden's fall was a bit funny. Especially if you add some Benny Hill music to it. He fell, lost some control and then recovered. It's not as funny as puking on a Japanese prime minister but it's still funny.

To think that it's a sign of dementia or that he's too old though, well that's just the meme-level of thinking again.

that certainly wasn't funny. did you see the man in later years?!

The slip from Biden doesn't really matter, he is near 80 so these things can happen and he seems perfectly fine afterwards.

I've fallen like that going up the stairs at work perfectly sober and I'm no slouch. It was funny then too.

    Level ground.

They have the appropriate fitness for their age.
Biden shouldn’t try to run up steps.
    Trump shouldn’t pretend he’s healthy.

Yeh. The term China virus was childish and xenophobic.

In all seriousness though how come the UK, South African and Brazilian variant are ok to use though?
Thought the wu-flu and those names were silly but something like the Wuhan Coronavirus is pretty accurate.

    ahem! logic...don't always work

maybe someone can define these by some other criteria?

    south africa...joost variant
    brazil...pele variant
    UK...66 variant

    because precious china. spare me.

    Its pretty simple.

By calling it the China Virus, he's placing blame on china for its origin.

Its OK to refer to the UK/brazil/wherever variant... Because its a variant of the China Virus. Not a virus caused by these countries.

It's pretty obvious what the difference is. Referring to
a "UK variant" of the virus isn't the same as Trump riling up his racist fanbase by calling it the "China virus" every chance he got. He did it again the other night in an interview on Fox. Anti-Asian crime in the US increased by 150%.in 2020. Do you think that's a coincidence?

    was china its origin?

It was an idiot playing up to his racist supporters by shouting racist things. Support it if you do, but, as people have said, words have consequences. Or be a chicken and run away from owning it.

"ooh, it's a variant, now it's a China virus, I don't understand racism, watch my hands move in a mocking disabled people motion, watch my supporters lap it up and pretend it's something else".

But isn't that also placing blame on those countries for not controlling the virus?

Also I am sort of lost about this, it's extraordinarily unlikely that China delibrately created the virus, but it's not a right wing conspiracy to say the Chinese government may well be partially responsible for the pandemic,

But then why talk about the Brazilian and South African variants, if America is that racist don't you think those groups might get some stick.

Your insistence on saying China when talking about covid, when there have been attacks on people because of it makes no sense, other than you don't give two sh1ts about people being beaten up over it.

What's to Bury? You think this is worldwide news

If Trump fell like that it would have been all over the news. Biden looks weak on the world stage falling like that so yes it's an issue.

I don't recall rte drawing attention to half of Trump's stuff. Eg his walk down the ramp, his strange water drinking style. A quick google indicates that their news site didn't even reference the airports during the revolutionary war. By your logic, it would have gotten a breaking news segment. Generally they did discuss controversial things he said cause it was pretty serious world news.

It probably had to do with Trumps constant bragging how fit and smart he is and then at the same time is unable to close an umbrella and walk of a ramp

Biden bragged about his walking skills :pac:
