Starts off with 3 days of Round Robin chess, 5 games per day, where everyone plays everyone once. The top 8 then progress through to the KO rounds.

Was that some kind of protest? Or just the prearranged draw to end all prearranged draws?

They could have played out a Berlin or any number of drawn lines, the game meant nothing to the standings, so I guess they decided to have some fun with it.

Anish beat Nepo in the Blitz Tiebreaker 2-0. The first mini match was 4 draws and 2-2, the 2nd was also a draw but Nepo did have to win with the black pieces to take it to the Tiebreak, which is managed with aplomb!

Magnus crucified Wesley in the 3rd / 4th Playoff and walks away with $25k for this troubles.

Nepo will resume the candidates in 3 weeks with the White pieces against Anish, a key game!

Very impressed with Nepo, he was obviously not much bothered but fears nobody and is a beast at those time limits.

Means not much for the Candidates but hoping Nepo can do the business there, he is not at all afraid of Carlsen and has some psychological advantage going on against him IMO
