My wife's lancer keeps blowing coils went through 4-5 different ones in about 9 months . Also the car has been parked up for about 6 months and the gears feel weird and VERY stiff. even in neutral it's sticking to the left and right and not popping back into middle like it should . Any ideas ?

Over gapped or worn plugs will burn out ign coils. They have to generate higher voltage to jump the gap. Or they might be Chinese coils.

Give it a good drive using the gears a lot. Linkage is prob sticking from lying idle.

I changed all 4 plugs before last coil went in , not sure on the brand but the motor factors told me to stop bringing them back haha. Yes I was thinking that or maybe some grease under the gear stick. Only thing is car is innisured so can't take it for a hard spin. Also heard leaving it idle for about an hour might loosen up some sticky bits

Bushings on Gear cables at the gearbox siezed. Common problem, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota also..
You may get away with popping off the cables, bit of sandpaper and a load of grease.
Loads of aftermarket options, Evo forums will help.

Change the plug leads while you are down there..
