Luckily doesn't fit the criteria to be here. It should be something you would drive yourself.

    Would you?

I actually would drive it, for the craic alone!

    Owned by a elderly man

If there's any grain of truth to that statement (which I doubt), he was either blind or insane

Absolutely revolting but the grill does look like it's well grafted on. A bit of work went into doing that.

    Diesel or Petrol?
    Bhp?
    Colour?
    5 speed or 6 speed?
    Spec?

These all have big impacts on it's desirability.

Thanks I am not a car guy.

Diesel, Blue, The T and D are red - I know that makes some difference.

Bit more info. Is it the 1.9 diesel? Estate or saloon?
What condition is it in, does it need any maintenance, replacement of wear and tear items, tyres etc. Any tax left on it?
Estate would be more useful to someone.

An import that's done 1500k per year with four owners? sounds legit.

It’s not an import. And from those photos alone I’d put money on that mileage being legit

Clocking hasn’t really been a thing for a long time now

All the looks and prestige of the Mercedes with the reliability and economy of a Corolla. What’s not to love!

    Yes, really

    It’s not an import
I've acknowledged that already, the article is from the Irish times.
and being in the repair side of the car industry I see it all the time, It's as widespread as its always been.

How did Cartell verify the mileage of 120000 imports?

OK, so you have inside experience in this field: what about that specific car is telling you its been clocked?

I've seen this in the flesh, took a pic and whacked it up on boards years ago. It's every bit as horrendous in real life.

I’m guessing they compiled all of the history checks done by customers on uk imports

The car looks immaculate, probably a second car in a family that got the odd spin, I'd say the mileage is genuine. Pity we don't have an nct checking system like the UK for Naysayers like you.
