Always a great man for a quote

The lead car is unique, except for the one behind it which is identical.

This would have been Senna's third win a row if he'd won the two before

With half the race gone, there is half the race still to go.

We now have exactly the same situation as we had at the start of the race, only exactly the opposite.

And there's no damage to the car. Except to the car itself.

Unless I am very much mistaken...I AM very much mistaken...!

That's history. I say history because it happened in the past.

The European drivers have adapted to this circuit extremely quickly, especially Paul Radisich who's a New Zealander.

You might not think that's cricket, and it's not, it's motor racing.

I think this is the stand out one, shows a certain humility and self awareness but also the verbal dexterity to recover.

“There's nothing wrong with the car except that it's on fire.” :p

Sad. Good age all the same. Some great memories of watching races in the late 80's and 90's. Not everyones cup of tea but I too thought a bit of the sport died when he stopped commentating.

Henry Darrow has died at 87: he had an extensive career in movies and TV, but he's probably best known as Manolito in The High Chapparal:

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Very sad to hear about Murray

He was a Class Act, and Formula One was the never the same without him

There's a tribute programme for him on Tuesday night on BBC1 (11.15pm NI, 10.45pm England)

It looks like a re-edited version of a show they have broadcast in the past which was very well made and brought back memories

Blue collar is another underrated classic which he starred in for anyone who hasn't seen it, probably Richard Pryors best dramatic performance.
