You are completely missing the point.

If anyone would know what being part of the Royal family entails it would be someone who is famous already.

First off she is American. It’s a different culture to the UK. Yes she had media attention as a well known and successful actress. But being part of the royal family is fame on another level which only a handful of people in the world could understand.

I found that interview very eye opening. When Meghan was talking about how she wanted to get help always denied that was quite sad she couldn’t do anything and Harry couldn’t do much . Institution having the say on everything. I wonder which senior royal Meghan went to for help to be turned away . Harry conversations with whoever on Archie race being a concern how dark or brown he might be is so horrible
Harry feeling trapped he’s always hated being in the family and wanted out for years Meghan was his way out . He's very lucky Diana saved money for him .
Very in depth interview much . There’s a unseen clip on cbs when Harry was supposed to see the Queen they had arrangements when he landed back in the UK he couldn’t see her she was suddenly busy her diary booked up for the week. The Queen doesn’t get to do what she wants . The people around them give the advice. Crazy how the outside are controlling the royal family . It's mad that they are scared of the perception of the press . The Royal family are puppets from what I take from the interview.

I am loving the calls for Jeremy Kyle to do a lie-detector test for them live on air.

You know you’re on a downward spiral when you star on the Jeremy Kyle show

Anyone who watched that £h1t€ tonight is on a downward spiral. I'd have more time for the dregs on Jeremy Kyle than I do for the "royal" family.

But she would have got a taste for it before becoming engaged to Harry. They were together something like a year or 18 months before getting engaged.

Anyone else notice that while Meghan said the comments about Archies skin colour were made during her pregnancy , when Harry was asked about those comments he replied saying that was "very early on", inferring early in the relationship so "awkward timing" and when Oprah said "did they ask about the baby's skin" he said "yeah, they were saying what will the kids look like?".

I felt Meghan was saying these comments were made specifically about Archie, the baby she was then carrying, but Harry seemed to say they were made about hypothetical kids in a more general context.

That would cast things in a different light for me.

Meghan's comment was deviously incendiary, stating that Archie's skin colour was discussed at the same time as the Firm was considering not giving a title to the baby. Predictably, US papers going crazy with nonsense such as 'Archie could not be a prince because he might be black'. She knew well what she was doing!

Harry clearly did not want to talk about it at all. Oprah mentioned when he came on that he had been watching the interview beforehand. If so, he did not support Meghan's version. I daresay she was none too pleased with him over that.

He came across as authentic, while she just fabricated the truth....the 'real' wedding being another lie.

I think Meggy Mark & Her Ginger Hub are telling the truth, or at least the truth they felt is true to them.

It was a toxic situation to be in, they're happy now

    Meghan, I Love You
You’re Every Star That Shines In The World To Me
Meghan, Can’t You See That It’s True
    Meghan, I Love You
You’re More Than Just A Star To Me

    This Is Your Life
You Seem To Have It All
    You Reached Your Peak
They Wanted You To Fall !
It’s Very Sad, This World Can Be So Bad

    But Though All The Heartaches
    When They Put You Down
You Know You Were The Victor
    And You Earned The Crown
It’s Like Walking Through The Fire
    Determined To Win
    You Were Beating Life’s Battles
    Again And Again !!

    Meghan, I Love You

The World Knows Your Worth Now !!
Of All The Things On Earth Now
I Pray One Day I’ll Be Just.......
    .... Like… You!!!

Maybe it's just the glasses, but it's hard not to notice Oprah's resemblance to a bewigged Ian Wright.

Watch the James Corden interview afterwards and perhaps a change of mind may occur.

I think it was a good idea for Harry and Megan to try and become financially independent. It is a pity they had to lower themselves to do this interview. One of the problems with the RF is all the wealth and property is inherited by those in the direct line of succession and people like Andrew earn money from 'consultancy' work where rich people pay them to associate with them for their status.

Exactly. This guy and his wife just woke up and realised that there was nothing much there for themselves outside of the family hierarchy and they took control and they are succeeding.

It's better than what's going on in Ireland and the UK recently with family tug-o-wars and people getting shot on farms etc.

This is someone just saying we don't want to be part of that ****e.

    Just a fact here.

Archie is not entitled to titles. He is not the grandson of the Monarch. Some Grandchildren of the Monarch don’t have titles, nor security.

But Meghan didn’t care to tell the truth and the Americans took her at her word.

I think people are missing something here. This morning with the likes of Piers Morgan, and through the day with some sections of the British press, the narrative was being pushed that M.M. did not understand the protocol of who gets the title of "Prince".

If you listen back to the interview, she mentions that she was aware that when Charles becomes King ,it would be the expected thing. It was Harry who told her it ain't happening! She was just repeating the message that was sent to Harry.

I was under the impression she was in the wrong from media reports during the day. When I watched the interview , I realised the media had missed something ( or intentionally missed it).

I 'm sure , in the back of my mind , I've heard Prince Charles talking about a "stripped down monarchy" as part of his vision for the future. Maybe Harry was told his kids ain't going to be prince/princess by his dad?

All the spares, Margaret, Andrew and even Phil the Greek seem to have gone a bit rogue in their time ,if rumours are to be believed.

It's a guilded cage if you are not on the thrown or directly in line for it. Maybe those two are right to get while the going is good. Harry is just another spare ,when you get down to brass tacks.

    I agree.
I watched the media reports and then watched the interview.

I understood what she said and she was clear about it.

My view is that Harry (& Meghan), in a way, decided to say "Stuff that" to the idea of "Working Royals".

Those "Working Royals" don't do a bloody jot of work whatsoever except shake & wave hands.

He is taking his life into his own hands and making what he can of it.
Granted, he does have a fair few million more than us all and a bankable name, heritage and wife and vice versa.

But by the sounds of it,he has his head on his shoulders, he is making a name for himself and do you know what??
... he won't be refused on any mega yacht anytime soon.

The guy knows what he is doing.

Perhaps a royal "Bear Gryll's", perhaps an expedition somewhere, a this, a that, a whatever.
He will make money and do something the others are not doing.

Now,... if only i had a £5M-£20M starting pot and a royal background too...

It’s thankfully hidden away in the Celebrity and Showbiz forum

    https://touch.boards.ie/thread/2058166126/1/#post116493769

....where expressing the opinion "Who cares?" gets you an infraction. Celebrity is a virtue in itself for some people. I suppose the clue is in the forum title :)

Oh and back on topic: Who cares?

Some people are really fcuked up, a young couple have just expressed their struggles to the world, and people are talking about their divorce, now that's just really fcuked up!

Where is Harry going to end up? He has nowhere left to go. I certainly don't feel sorry for him.

The funny thing is that Harry has a list of racist comments and actions himself, the Royale family are about 100 years out of date to cultural appropriateness. A comment like what color will the baby be could be a throw away comment made out of jest by the person. A comment Harry himself could have easily made.

Meaghan on the otherhand would have been cut to the core with a comment like that, everything bad ever happened to her was probably down to race.

It's a big mess but the Royale family is Harry's actual family, the queen is his grandmother, the prince is his father. Not being part of his family isn't sustainable and he's apparently a bit dim that did poorly in school, I'm not sure what else he can do but be a 'royale'.

I'm just watching this myself. Amazed! A part of me is thinking it is just more theatre?

He was called out by "mind" the mental health charity yesterday. He also got called out by two black women about lecturing them about what racism constitutes.

Don't know what to make of this!
