I will feel free to point out the previous incumbent's flaws anytime I feel like it given that his clusterfcuk of a presidency directly impacts the current presidency. If someone wants to define that as virtue signalling, then that's fine by me. I don't give a crap.
Why do you need to point out what happened previously? Most people here are well aware of what happened.
The here and now is what matters and heeling America. We don't need history lessons from you or anybody else.

Praising Trump, unless you are in the main Republican areas of america, certainly won't get you any pats on the back or social media brownie points lol.

I suggest you move to Parlour. Your self-esteem will sky rocket with all the likes you'll get.

Well when people post in here saying "look...Biden has done XYZ, Isn't it terrible "?

While forgetting that the previous gobshìte did the same or worse then yes sometimes a reminder of the previous administrations failings are needed.

this is the joe biden thread not the trump thread.

Yeah so you might want to try addressing that topic as I did in the last line of the post you quoted rather than back seat modding.

Surely you've realised by now that they just ignore anything bad about the previous disaster and keeping picking at the current one.
You are just wasting your time, and that also goes for responding to them at all really.

Thankfully I don't base my self-esteem on the opinion of others, or at least on the opinion of anonymous posters on internet forums.

Also your post is a great example of everything wrong with american politics.

    1) someone doesn't agree with everything you say = enemy

    2) Discredit what they say by making claims about them = your views/opinions are right wing so you would get on great posting on parlour a site linked to right wing extremists.

Tribal politics my team vs your team, only the far extremes off both sides exist anyone who shows an unbiased opinion or view = not on my team = enemy.

Hopefully this estimate will be accurate. Child poverty shouldn't exist at all but this is a start.

It is an amazing claim to make almost too good to possibly be true.

But this huge stimulus package will do great things as the American economy is only stalling because the brakes are being applied.

Keep the economy alive while the incredible amount of vacinations continue and there will be an incredible surge/economic growth in a few months. The world need a healthy American economy, good stuff

Hmm. So when you posted this about people who criticise Trump:

"Well obviously I mean criticizing Trump has been the easiest way to score virtue signalling points over last four years. I mean talk about low hanging fruit."

you weren't intending to "discredit what they say by making claims about them"? Ever so slightly hypocritical eh?

Personally, I wouldn't use the low bar set by Trump as a way to excuse BIden. I'm not happy about the tepid response to MBS, for example.

However, if posters criticise Biden for things that they cheered on during Trump's administration, then I'll definitely point out the bad faith and hypocrisy.

    This is exactly it.

Because it goes to the motive in debating a point. Staying silent on Trump and bashing biden for less smacks of bad faith arguing, which personally I've no time for.

I've said before on this thread....

"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it.”

So it's exteremly important to reference it here, especially when to gauge how the current incumbent is progressing compared to the last

I think Biden will make it as president until just after 2022 midterms and then he will get booted out or retire for health reasons.

I was critizing the 'act' of constant complaining/virtue signalling not an individual poster or a specific point made, so no unfortunately scrolling through my posts to try and discredit me as the 'enemy' hasn't worked this time I'm afraid, but don't give up always remember for you to be 'in the right' someone has to be 'in the wrong'.

The most bizarre part of your posts towards me is that I have always been critical towards Trump and the Republicans in general, yet according to you my posts/opinions belong on A right wing social media site, just very bizarre.

I get that Biden is old but I don't see this apparent decline that some are promoting, he seems like a healthy fit guy

None of what you say about me is actually true but I don't care. I was gently pointing out that you had hoisted yourself with your own petard. Perhaps we can just agree that simply pointing to a person's post about Trump and calling it virtue signalling doesn't constitute meaningful debate.

You don't honestly think that Joe Biden is calling the shots, do ya?

    Why not?

He whooped Trump in the debates?

One can only surmise you think he isn't "up to the job mentally"?

On that basis, are you saying that Trump was roundly beaten by a guy who wasn't in charge of his mental faculties?

Its a pretty ludicrous claim .

This article explains why the actual impact of the package is likely to be a net negative.

Get the feeling Richard Hillman won't be coming back. There's a certain amount of status acting as if you know something others can't don't want to think about.

That article is written by a crypto enthusiast. I suspect he will deem anything which relates to the implementation of the traditional dollar to help people will something that will not work.
