    Underwhelming finale. Still enjoyed it.

In another reality people are bemoaning that Evan Peters wasn't cast when they had the chance.

Finale didn't stick the landing for me. Most major players promising they'll be back in some form. Oh. Okay then.

Does this show get better? I watched the first couple of episodes and by half way through episode 2 I had lost interest with the whole 50's sitcom thing and turned it off. It didn't seem to be going anywhere. Does it get more action orientated at any point?

The sitcom thing hangs about alright but after episode 3 it doesn't get used as much and the episodes are a lot better as a result.

Oh big time. It was still good.

The over reaction of some people towards not getting their preferred ending is a little sad.

I watched this for the sitcom bits and stayed for the rest. I’ve watched a lot, maybe most but definitely not all, of the marvel movies but like most people who watch the movies the larger universe is just a backdrop. Didn’t know who Pietro was (and on that subject, he was clearly fake last episode. Agatha said that).

I was only vaguely aware of vision and Wanda who were minor bit parts in the Avengers. No I watched it, signed up to Disney in fact, to see how they would replicate those old sitcoms , which was an interesting concept. Then the main story turned out to be good. So Disney have got my money. And the money of the standard fans who would watch anyway.

Also I’d watch these 3 actors again in these roles, so Disney have booked future income. They always had your income. This is a success for them.

Being realistic if they were to introduce the multiverse and involved the X-Men and the FF in any of the series it will be the Loki one where the
    TVA
    are involved.

However the more I think about it I can only see more hints at them in the series and when they do eventually come into the MCU it will be on the big version of the MCU.

Another MCU entry where the speculation was better craic than the actual end product. Mind you I like how things are poised for Wanda.

I loved it all folks. Don’t really care about the wider MCU implications. I knew enough about it to get most references but not enough that I cared about any red herrings etc

As a TV show, it was superb

I read earlier some of you wanting to cut it down to movie size and I think that’s missing the point entirely. It’s a TV show, and an excellent TV show at that

I thought that was great and an excellent payoff. The FX were big-screen quality and it felt like the climax of a big Marvel movie.

Not everything was tied up with a little bow, and I'm OK with that.

Was there a significance in the second stinger of her boiling water for tea/coffee when it looked like she had a cup already? Was it for someone else?

She poured it into the cup she was holding. I assume she was just topping it up.

Loved Wandavision and really filled the void in my marvel-less world! I do wish there was a more sinister force lurking behind it all and that more seeds were planted going forward! Even an appearance from DrStrange or Nick Fury would have made a difference!

Regardless tho it was well executed, great storytelling and acting throughout. Fridays won't be the same without it haha

I dunno, I think there could be something to this second cup of coffee.

    Really good show, loved it.

Now to start all the speculation again when Falcon and The Winter Soldier starts

Intriguing show that didn't amount to anything really great in the end. The journey was better than the destination for me.

I guess they don't want to introduce too much or make massive changes to the universe so that the people who don't watch the TV shows aren't too out of the loop and put off going to see the movies.

    Leaked Dr. Strange cameo.

    Wanda's Cabin End Credits Scene:

Dr Strange: "I am Scarlet Witch" You think you're the only super witch in the world? Ms. Maximoff, you've become part of a bigger universe. You just don't know it yet.

Wanda: Who the hell are you?

Dr Strange: [appears in light] Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme

Dr Strange: I'm here to talk to you about the Multiverse of Madness

    I absolutely loved it.

The debate between Vision and white Vision about the ship of Theseus was incredible and so very in-character!

Loved the ending too and of course it had me in floods of tears. I like that they didn't quite tie things up in a neat bow, more to think about now in the future of the MCU.

I think it's a testament to the series that I was very meh about both Wanda and Vision before and now they're my faves!

Really looking forward to The Falcon And The Winter Soldier now.

Why couldn't Wanda shrink the Hex
to just encapsulate her plot and house so she and family could live for the time being.
Or move her house to a field on the outskirts of town where they wouldn't be disturbed ?

Looking forward to what they do with the Darkhold thread.

Because she wasn't the bad guy.

They'd be stuck in the house on their own not able to leave, do anything or meet/interact with any one. We've been doing that for the past few months and it's a big bag of shíte. That's why she isn't doing it. :pac:

Looking forward to what they do with the Darkhold thread.

Since it appeared in AoS does that make AoS cannon again?

Since it appeared in AoS does that make AoS cannon again?

The book looked completely different to the AoS version, so either one is a second edition of the first, or AoS is probably not really canon any more.

Loved the finale. I really enjoyed the Vision/Vision scene, and I thought the payoff to Wanda's side of things works well and could tie in really well with Dr.Strange, especially since they've now said she's more powerful than the Sorceror Supreme and is learning about darkhold/chaos magic. The possibility of Vision returning is a great tease, Paul Bettany has been utterly fantastic in the role.

I expected more from Monica though. The Darcy/Haywood thing felt a bit flat too. The credits scenes though are a great set up for Dr.Strange 2 and Cap.Marvel 2.

    I wouldn't count on it.

I'm hoping it will lean into the Vampire origin for Blade.

I really enjoyed the show for the story they were telling and while I think they could have gone even further as per some of the fan theories I choose to judge it based on what it is rather than what it isn't. My only negative is that the last 2 episodes needed to be longer and grander; the pacing definitely felt rushed. Characters like Jimmy Woo and Darcy deserved more screen time.

Marvel knows their audience, they know that when a character keeps going on about an "engineer" more than once that we're gonna be speculating about it and fully expecting the "engineer" to appear at some point. In the movies they can make references like that and leave it dangling because they know we're not expecting them to cram in everything in the space of 2 hours while trying to tell the main story but in a television show they have plenty of time. It may be that we don't see the engineer until later. Also, using the Evan Peters cameo as nothing more than an inside joke rather than something that sets up the multiverse was a waste.

I think most casual viewers will be happy with the show overall because a lot of the fan theories that never came to fruition are centered around things from the comics. The average viewer doesn't read comics so they can enjoy the story for what it is.

Plus this moment was one of my favourites in the entire MCU. As a massive X Men fan, this leeps right off the strip!
