Dropped it onto his leg though so it's not a knock on? Every kick you throw the ball forward before you kick it.

He lost control though, so different.

Wales taking the piss with the ball at the base of the ruck too

He touched it with his hand and went forward into his leg, the only way it’s not a knock on is if he regathers it which he clearly didn’t.

Not much quality in this game really

England staying in the game. Would love to hear the half time ref and to chats!

If you throw the ball forward for a kick, how are you "in control"?

The ball has not been considered knocked forward until it touches the ground, or another player. The ball is knocked backwards off red’s leg. Correct decision by TMO.

Serious play from Tom curry there.

Did he back himself into a corner by asking for a reason to reverse an onfield decision?

It wasn't definitive with the poor angles given to him

    That’s not a knock on.

The block on the Welsh box kick is always on. Hardy steps into the line and kicks low.

100%. We've all watched players juggle a ball forward bad then catch it.

I was certain that knock in was going to be let go too!

Falatau should have touched that down given Wales luck, and reffing

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Faletau should have dived on that, the try probably would have been given...

    That’s not a knock on.

It is a knock on because he never regathered the ball.

Never had control. Same as if he had knocked it on and kicked it before the ball touched the ground. Shocked it was given. But my Welsh heritage will take a win of any kind today.

It was 100% a knock on

French refs being very "French" today

As funny as it is, England are getting absolutely dicked with decisions here.

Wales so cynical to kill that advantage.
North tackled with his back, hands on the floor. Davies just stood in the line and caught the pass then.

The interpretation seemed to be that it just went forward against his hip which is no different to catching the ball to your body. And it only went backwards off his leg.

    Interesting law discussion there!

I get that that was the ref's reasoning but the fact he brought it to his hip and dropped it would suggest he never had control.

LRZ did very well there but Daly will be crucified later for never even looking outside

Wales have lost the plot a bit since 'try' 2

    Nice offloading from England

What are you talking about? I've never seen that interpretation in any other game! It's been pretty universal for a long time. If you lose control of the ball you have to regather it

There's no mention of that in the rules

Have you ever seen a player knock it forward into the air and then catch it? Then you've seen the same interpretation.

Story of the day so far is the shocking officiating in both games.
