Looking at suggested selling prices please.

    151D Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GX4h
    50k miles (UK Import)
    Full dealer service history.
    Immac generally.
    Gunmetal grey
Fully installed towbar with electrics used for bike rack and never towing.

What sort of money could I expect in a private sale?

Similar / exactly same with less miles @ 21.5k https://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/mitsubishi/outlander/fpa/201904106816525?journey=Search

    Higher mileage @ 17.5k - https://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/mitsubishi/outlander/fpa/202012026698681?journey=Search

    Something like 19/20k potentially?

Subject line doesn't appear if you're on the mobile site :)

25K is probably a bit low for a Kona, and definitely out of E-Niro range, the demand for E-Niros is very high so they're holding their value well. Cheapest one I've seen is in NI for £33k

You're probably in the range for a Leaf40 second hand, maybe a second hand Ioniq38 in a few months. You might also be able to argue down a brand new MG ZS EV to that price

Can you give us an idea of your daily driving? Do you travel long distance a lot and do you have access to home charging? Those questions are pretty key for figuring out which is the best car for your budget

There's a €29k asking price 2019 Kona in the bargain thread. If you are serious, go and buy that, offer €28k, get a bargain, job done.

As always with bargains though, they are only for the people ready to pull the trigger. They never "happen" to a procrastinator who sits on the fence or someone who only starts to think about getting their finance ready when they see a bargain...

I used to do in total a max of 100 km a week which is mostly driving around Dublin . Not sure if I would be doing that anymore in the foreseeable future...
Driving out to cork about once every few months in a mondeo 08 petrol .
No home charger but located very close to 2 public charging point within minutes of where I am .

If you are getting an ev you would want to be able to install a charge point at home really.

Big range on the Kona or eNiro help when you don't have home charging, but their initial price for what you get and what savings you can make is quite high. Especially with low mileage

    Hi All,

Purchased this charge point in error about 3 weeks ago.

    https://evonestop.co.u...?variant=40494191300

Type 1 tethered 32A Rolec with a separate 3 pin plug so would suit Nissan Leaf or Mitsubishi Outlander

Very handy if you have an electric lawnmower or similar!

I can send it back for a refund but will offer it here for €480 if anyone is interested. It's still in the box unopened.

    Collection from Greystones only.

Edit: should have been clear I paid €509.

You need to be clear on the supply plug, is it a 32amp large blue one?

Thanks for fixing link. Not sure about your question? Its a 32A unit. 7.2 kw charger. The plug is black not blue. The 3 pin socket is like any standard household one.

BEV sales are up from last year. Even in this terrible market.

Cheaper in some cases due to the reduced VAT.

Some Evs are cheaper too because of the change in VRT.

Obviously these traders are not charities. They need to put bread on the table. So they will offer you a good bit less than what you should be able to achieve in a private sale. Gotta be realistic.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. You know I'm a realist.
But they offered around 10% less than what Tesla offered as a trade in. I suspect it was a PFO.

Yeah, what Tesla offer is just what a few traders offer them. So that's pretty much rock bottom. 10% below that is taking the p1ss alright or a PFO, agreed.

I'm looking for a Type 2 to Type 1 adaptor to charge my wife's 2015 Leaf from the same tethered Zappi charger that I use to charge my 2018 Leaf. Most of the adaptors out there seem to be €150 minimum but I'm not prepared to spend that much. My wife is happy using her granny cable to charge once every other week from the outside socket in the driveway (she doesn't do that much mileage). However, I'm looking for an adaptor to make use of the excess solar from the Zappi during the summer months.

I'm looking for a second-hand adaptor at a reasonable price or an old tethered Type 1 cable that someone may have swapped out for a tethered Type 2 cable. I'm thinking if I got the Type 1 cable, I would be able to make my own adaptor by cutting the cable and connecting a Type 2 socket on the end. Thanks.

I don't think cutting the cable and joining an adapter will work, the car can sense when two cables have been joined together and won't allow charging.

I think it's something to do with the cable resistance, it has to be some specific value. Adding something in line like another cable alters this and the car won't recognise it as a valid charging cable

But you can buy type 2 extension cables. I know, as I have a 10m one. Therefore, I assume you can get the same extension with one end as type1

Oh I know you can buy one, but I'm guessing there's something different in them that makes the car allow it to charge

But I don't think you can change the connector on one end of s charging cable and then plug it into a tethered cable like they were suggesting

I've seen a nice looking adapter like below but unfortunately it goes the wrong way for a Leaf using at Type 2 charger

    https://evonestop.co.uk/collections/adaptors/products/newstyle-type-1-to-type-2-adapter-converter

I haven't been able to find the same adapter going the other way

My better half was driving my Ioniq, when I worked from home and now she wants to dump her 141 Ford Fiesta diesel for a second hand electric since I went back. She travels 40km every second day and has free charging.
I have a Zappi charger , so something compatible would be nice but not necessary.
    Thanks in advance.

What kind of budget is she looking at, anything with a Type 2 plug will be directly compatible with your charger, I'd probably be looking at a Renault Zoe in her case.
