Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Welcome to the live event thread. We will kick off tomorrow.


    I will reveal each jury in the order I received them, upon posting each jury scores, I will also reveal which player that jury was.
    In true Eurovision fashion, a tie -breaker will be used if needed for first place only
    Tie-breaker rules, country with most 12pts scores will win. If still tied, we count the 10pts scores, 8pts scores..etc.
    Scores are allocated as thus, 1-8, 10, 12
    I will post the table after each second jury results, then more frequently near the finish.

    Please discuss your thoughts here in the build up to the event, what songs you liked, didn't like, but please refrain from revealing which song was yours until the reveal.

    I've already forgotten what the songs were, only just barely remember the song I submitted, and can't remember my rankings (pretty sure I made my decisions swiftly and there wasn't much deliberation needed). Still have the PM in my sent items, but think I'll just wait and be surprised...

    My biggest surprise and disappointment was When Doves Cry. I thought I loved it but obviously haven't listened to it for ages, I really didn't rate it. The same was true to a lesser extent for Hammer To Fall, I was excited when I read it but then it was only OK

    I admire whoever submitted The Demolition Group. Great to have something so different and I really wanted to like it...

    I only knew Luka by Suzanne Vega so was nice to hear a different track by her as I really like Luka. I remember it from my childhood when there used to be infomercials on late at night selling music compilations. Luka and Everybody wants to rule the world stuck with me so I must have liked them then!
