    Anything out there suitable?
Asking for a friend who needs to change his car as it's 10 years old.
Not that he is busy or anything but was open to switch to ev with the gov grant at the moment.

    Hackney or SPSV?

Loads suitable. A good few Leaf L30’s and 40’s as taxis here in Dublin.

Obviously a nice Tesla will be brilliant but depends on budget.

    Hackney.
But would need a decent boot for luggage for airport runs.
He currently has a Skoda superb.

Range could be an issue then.
    Where is his base?

Would most of his work be in cork?
Is there a charger at the airport? (Dublin has some so maybe cork).

120km round trip is not the problem here, it’s the 120 km round trip at the start or end of his shift that he has to,have enough battery for or enough battery to continue working.

Most of his work would be around the town he lives in.

What is his daily mileage? Could he take a break at a 50kW charger mid shift?

Ideally a car with a big battery such as a 62kWh leaf or a 64kWh Niro. Some car types may not be on the approved list.

The niro has battery cooling so its battery should last longer.

You should look at warranty too. I know Hyundai specifically cancels warranty on their ioniq car if it is used as a taxi. Ideally if you could keep 7 year warranty on drivetrains from kia for a niro. Also beware of Max mileage cap on warranty. Most cars have a Max mileage. There is some leaf taxi drivers on the Facebook groups. There is a Tesla model 3 taxi/hackney in cork

There is 2 new 50kW chargers at cork airport

I suggested a Niro to him and I think he is looking into them during the week.
Definitely piqued his interest more than anything else.
