I have a problem with the mains on the boiler staying on even when the horstmann timer is off. Has anyone this problem before

Often caised by sticking contacts on a motorized valve. Could of course be sticking contacts in the timer also.

as stated above already sticking micro switch

can also be caused by frost stat if 1 fitted
