Recommendations for wet field

Hi all,

I've a couple of acres that get very wet and boggy in the winter.
With 2 horses it gets pretty torn up.

Looking for ideas in how best to get it back in shape for the summer.

Should I roll it or just let it sort itself?
Any ideas welcome

Horses have a habit of eating only the grass to the butt and allowing weeds to take over.

You could stitch the ground and freshen it up. It would level it off for you too depending on what machine is used.

Forgive me if this is a silly question but what do you mean by stitch the ground?

My idea about rolling was to fill in all the holes from them walking around it. The holes are holding a lot of water

You can stitch grass seed into the field to add new grass. Usually a guttler or tine harrow is used
