Rough cost for drilling a well

    I know it will all depend on depth,bedrock etc. but can someone give an rough indication of how much it costs overall to drill a well for a new build on a green field site? Thanks

    You phone some of the Drilling Companies and ask them for a price per foot for Drilling and a liner. That will give you some idea to start.

    But there is more too it than that for instance Travelling onsite Charge the type of soil/ rock, Will you need a liner.

    Also do you want them to supply pump and set it up or have you someone else to do that.

    For Drilling I'd say your looking at 10 to 12 Euro a Foot. and 7 to 10 for Liner.

    I had a well drilled late last year, drilled 160ft included liners, well cap, pump etc for around €3500 including VAT

    Thanks for the reply Sarah, would you mind providing the name of the company please? I've a estimate of €5200 incl VAT for a 200ft well, 80ft liners, pump and water test.
