    Here's wan for 1850 715815....

This afternoon a strange man phoned me from IPSOS MRBI Polls, and started asking questions first in relation to sport & exercise during pandemic. Fine. Then came the questions which were preceded by "you don't have to answer these if you don't want to", but being de helpful kind I said "fire away anyway". First one was "are you heterosexual?" I was going to be smart and say "come and find out", but I thought better of getting arrested for my troubles. :D

We can definitely expect callers to the show during de week who will share this same experience, lol, and I look forward to de Gold. Maybe I'll phone in myself, but I tend to giggle only too easily.

Did he ask you for your mothers maiden name as well?

No, but at de end he asked MY first name at de end of call... things getting very dodgy.. and then said he might be in touch again. Definitely one for 1850 715825. I'd have great fun playing this out on Liveline, and Joe would be laughing away too, I could make it truly hilarious and entertain de nation. BUT it would guarantee I'd have to endure listening to myself engaging with Duffy on Playback and every blessed ad for de show for de foreseeable.

The supermarkets are only supposed to be selling ‘essential’ stuff. Are de flowers all that essential?

Initially making some reference about Aidan Power being a very young looking man. Maybe he plans to send him a card or something for Sunday. Couldn't make out what dat intro was about.

Four words. Mother and baby homes. Twodaze shows sounds positively orgasmic compared to that.

    Florists, eh

Line 1 Tommy from Palmerstown Cemetrey (if he is over the assault by a bad bad bastard)

Line 2 Sadie and Monica flowere sellers from Grafton Street and their cousints abd their chislers and young 90 year old mothers who are institutions as wunderful wunderful street traders that make Dooblin wgat it is today

Line 3 The inspirational florist from Tallaght who was a tonic leaving flowers outside her closed florists for people to pick up as a random act of kindness

Plenty of room for petal references today so

Seems to be very different interpretations from shop to shop as to what is essential. Clothes should really be essential.

They are closed but you can order online, but good luck with that. My OH ordered stuff in Octber and they made an @rse of the order and cancelled it twice. Eventually it arrived last month with some of the items damaged. Still waiting for a reaponse about that.

My mother once ordered, by phone, flowers for her cousin's 84th birthday (a woman who died in her sleep aged 99 but was in phobia of death for decades before) from a local flower seller. De order got a bit mixed up so to speak, and being worried dat de flowers wouldn't be delivered when de cousin would be in, she decided to call around and collect de flowers to be on de safe side. A good thing she did, because a funeral wreath had been prepared!
