"Next time it's a free kick"

Are World Rugby rushing through a change to the rules right now? Is there a crisis meeting going on in the stands and Wayne is waiting for the word that the rules have changed.

If it's a free kick in 5 minutes it's a free kick now.

Wayne Barnes. Riding Irish teams since 2006

    And Murray is off.

    6 minutes.

It's great seeing Murray actually snipe from the base of the ruck again.

Lovely wide pass from POM there, Murray with the half snipe before. We're trying in the backs, just not pulling it off

Murray not doing many favors to his runners with some of those passing from rucks.

Ah Josh, not his day today so far

And we're playing exactly the same as we did in late 2020

Has Murray anything in his arsenal except mediocre box kicks.

“Has James Lowe anything in his arsenal except mediocre runs?”

    Is that how this works?

Seeing that too. Terrible shape at times.

    ACL for Lydiate. Very tough.

At least his mediocre rush retains possession.

    Brutal stuff from Earls.

Wayne Barnes reffing as well...it's going to be one of those days

Porter has had a brilliant first ten minutes. Fast approaching world class status.

    Best ref in the business

I was not happy when I saw the backrow selection for this game. Rhys ruddock had to be in the match day 23 for me. Hopefully I'm proved wrong

Calling use it is utterly meaningless if you don't call for a free kick when the 9 proceeds to not use it

Yes he also has that slow-motion trick he does at the base of a ruck.

Barnes is probably the best referee in world rugby right now. What's the problem?

Earls tried to catch that with his finger tips. Not sure why he didn’t get under it. Must have lost flight of the ball.

    Strapping up Lydiate. Thats bonkers.

Some mad negativity on here after 10 minutes.

I think Ireland are playing well. Murray and Ringrose going well, Stander and Porter too.

Ireland showing some good shapes so far, managing to create space out wide. Keenan could've done better there with the ball, should've straightened a bit more to check the line

The contrast with the speed the Scots moved the ball yesterday.

The Murray/Sexton combo is 3 years past its sell buy date.

Lots of unforced errors from us so far

    Need to clean that up

How little trust must the coaches have in Navidi.

My pet peeve this game so far is, he's called "Use it" twice now and both times he's allowed seven or eight seconds to actually use the ball.

He is the best ref at the moment though, for sure, you're right.
