    Today?

Ronan links with a death anniversary mention.

    Joe in serious voyce mood.
Clip of someone being exploited by talking about her mothers death over the phone.

Passport office should it be open

A women suffering from menopause. Let's put that on the radio, doubt this will make it to air.

Connection on the app broke down at this point and returned only to hear joe say something about barking dogs?

Another weird promo, you can tell it's the first time joe reads it is when he is actually on air.

    Dog's barking during the pandemic.

Something about high walls between neighbours.

Menopause could be some fun, lol! Could be GOLD! Maybe I'll phone in!

Roe McDermott to ring in and say the name should be changed to Womenopause as the current iteration is a symbol and reminder of the male patriarchy's attempts to control the female body.

I heard her on drivetime yesterday evening. Discussing flirting in the pandemic. Absolute drivel. In any case a subject more suited to Darcy or Tubbs.

    Oh dear, oh dear.

Many moons ago I was at a conference in the Netherlands, I think around 1994/5. There were a few people there who I could only describe as 'ultra-woke' and the word 'PC' had just landed from the good old U-S-of-A onto Europe's shores. They were trying to outdo each other in 'wokeness' and laying into anybody who showed any signs of 'prejudice'. There were many holdups as various points of perceived 'discrimination' were discussed.

Some man used the word 'person' in a talk, as it is gender neutral. He was pulled up as it should be 'person or perdaughter'. The 'person' implying it could be a male.

When the conference report arrived a couple of months later everywhere you would have 'somebody' or 'person', had been amended to 'perdaughter/person' to placate various sensibilites. This was of course, well before gender identity became and issue.

Back in the day when mad cow disease was all the news the joke doing the rounds was:
    Q. What is the difference between mad cow disease and the menopause?
    A. None.
