Thanks a mill Kenny, I never find it easy looking at specs trying to work out if it takes both the Digital Terrestrial and Satellite.
It looks like the Sony is the best as it has twin tuners? On that, what does "[font=Montserrat, sans-serif](Not compatible with YouView)" mean regarding the USB recording?[/font]
[font=Montserrat, sans-serif]Do the twin tuners allow to record one channel and record another on either the Satellite or the Digital Terrestrial Saorview? And just to 100% confirm, I can connect both my Satellite and Digital Terrestrial at the same time and flick between fairly easily.[/font]
[font=Montserrat, sans-serif]Are there any Samsung options? The reason I ask is my current 13 year old Samsung 40" has just started showing ever increasing dead pixels and up to now has been extremely reliable.[/font]

Hey John.

You can record one station while watching another due to the twin tuners on the Sony.

Youview will not be available in the South Of Ireland as it is a UK based service. Its the same as freeview but allows for paid TV via BT also.

Switching between Saorview and Satellite stations is fairly simple and is done by a few button presses.

Jumping up to OLED you get a far superior panel. OLED gives a much better image, contrast, motion handling.
Just an all round better television.

In a Samsung, any models above the TU8500 have a satellite tuner.
The TU8500 is however currently out of stock and we are chasing an ETA on them with Samsung.

The QLEDs would be a step above LED but not as good as OLED. The QLEDs still use a conventional backlight but they use a Quantum filter with improves brightness and colour reproduction.

The QE49Q80T is a great TV as well and would give a great picture!
