Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Makes me appreciate the fact that I am home for Christmas with my family from the middle East
That would have broken me if my family turned up on telly like that!

That was so ott compared to the previous sponsors.
Like the two Cabra girls had pints and cans on their table for every scene. Always in the same place, pointing at camera, and they never so much as lifted a glass once.
And then one of the 8 tv clips to be discussed was actually the 'at the home of the black stuff' ad. Shocking.

Think it's showing clips from the 80s not sure if it's a repeat , I'm pretty certain they've done that format before though.

Yes it had 2018 in the credits, think I missed it first time around.

It seems to have been a different episode to the preview.
All the ads for it during the week had the young lad being shown how to chat up the nun but that wasn't on the programme tonight.

    but an excellent repeat

Agreed - really miss the young lad with his granny - they were priceless at times

    but an excellent repeat

Must be some age gap with the Gruffertys - it was more like father explaining to a daughter than a husband and wife at times.

The older Paul from the two Pauls from Cork has died, I think they were from Cobh

I'd guess a repeat? Haven't heard about any new episodes filmed.

Sneaky move putting repeats on the same time as when new episodes used to air.

They're advertising it as a new episode. It's one of those special look back episodes at TV from years ago.

Did anybody see that very long ad the cast did for Virgin TV?

New or not, it was great fun.

They didn't show the best part of the Virgin Prunes performance on The Late Late Show, when a sixth member of the band came on to give Gay Byrne some chocolates, and then handed out Mars Bars to the (traumatised) people in the audience. :D

Indeed. My brother and mother keep asking me why I don't upgrade my current Virgin box. To be honest, the only reason I haven't because they keep on at me to do it! :D

Didn't think it was a great episode tbh, but I did enjoy Twink being dragged through the mud as usual. "It'd take more than a miracle pet" :pac:

Watched all the Irish and UK episodes - tried the first episode of the Oz version - found it hard going - us it worth persevering?
