I finally managed to get through to the Net World Sports.ie call centre (answered by a very nice Welsh person) and she happily cancelled my order. They have no idea if the mat made it to Ireland or if it is in a warehouse awaiting some confirmation to be shipped - almost 3 weeks after purchase. Very disingenuous to make out they are an Irish domain company - moral of this story: do your homework and let the buyer beware.

I bought one of the DoneDeal mats. Very good for forgiveness and you can use normal tees.

I’ve also used the Carroll golf one in a range. Thought it was good, how much is it?

Four layer mat is coming in at €266 + 60 shipping.

I bought the base and it is needed to keep it in position. The base doesn’t quite match the mat size which is the only downside to it. Don’t think the woodies thinks would hold it as it doesn’t have the grips.

Using tees is a big plus.

Oh Noooo! Just ordered a mat off them last Fri

I ordered a plyometric box from Networldsports for gym work last week and it arrived today. No hassle transaction.

I ordered one of these.....no idea how good it is (or not), it arrived this morning but I haven't had a chance to open it up yet.

Both do a grand job for the back garden as long as its not too windy, the net could end up in the neighbors garden!!

The "rough" side on the matt is probably wearing out the bottom of my 7 iron a bit, but nice to be able to get a few swings in! I doesn't hurt my wrists or anything like that though.

Just to note it says "pop up design" in the description, I wouldn't be taking it down after every use, probably takes 10/15 mins to put together from the box. Can just leave it face down in the garden and lift it up when using - there are 4 pegs / stakes included to keep it in the ground.

No I just wear my golf shoes, which have a small bit of a heel in them - I hadn't even thought about it until now!

I haven't noticed any height difference - feels the same as I would hitting off a mat at a range.

A great portable net, its really strong and you would get it up or down in 10/15 mins as u said. I've left mine up the last 7 weeks though.

- no haven't noticed that at all....used driver, 5 and 7 regularly and no issues with movement..don't think there is any holes for tying down...but it's heavy ish so generally stays put

It hasn't moved from any stroke from any club, and I've hit heaps of drives. It looks light but it's really solid. You'll need soft ground, and a mallet/ hammer, to anchor it good and tight with the pegs.

I found that once I added the 15mm rubber mat from mcsports it works out pretty well.

Mine is the Forb launch pad. Its very heavy for its size so don't have any need to add anything else to it. Its a good mat.
