    Hi All
    I've just mounted a Digex on my Tikka M595 with a set of Opti locks and even with the scope fully back I feel its not back far enough for me to see the fill screen without straining my neck a little.
    What's the best solution
    Open to ideas

    Hi Paddy - I have the same problem. The only solution I found was to fit a rear-extended pic rail/base. Brittania Rails make them. Hope this helps.

    I had the same issue and tried some 'forward reach scope rings' in reverse. The best most flexible option was a full length picatanny rail which allowed me to mount the scope on standard rings further to the rear.
    To be honest I wasn't impressed with Britannia Rails, altough they fitted they were quite lose and when securing in place with the grub screws very fiddly to mount level. The rear lug on one side started to show signs of stress fracture. Mounted and secured it did the job but I ended up replacing it with a different maker -

    Solid construction, slides onto the dove tail with no slack or wobble and came up perfectly level when the grub screws were tightened down, even comes with a grub screw for a recoil notch for the CZ receiver.
    Give them a try for something compatible.

    Last night I took the scope off and altered the mounts a little by grinding down the mount closest to the bolt to allow positioning of the mount as far back as possible which gave my about 10mm of extra rear movement.
    Rather than go for a canted mount I might just shave off 10mm or so from the stock.

    Bench fired it today to zero the sights and found it quite user friendly especially the different profiles ie A B C etc which I used for different brands of bullet
    Worked a treat

    Did you buy from an Irish supplier, or did you import from the USA?

    I brought it in from the US, cheaper then the UK even after postage and what nots...
