I'd say the Liam Lawlor days were unbelievable

After I sent my answer in, I googled. Its my LEA and I never really looked into it. Two very prominent business men one of which provided my mortgage and facilitated the sale of my house was previously a sitting Councillor implicated in this. Turns out the nice fella is actually a piece of ****e :D

Nice to know they are still in property anyway

I'm from Tipperary where Michael Lowry is GOAT. I shouldn't have been surprised that the answer was so high. But I am. Ah well. Just confirms my belief that no one is uncorruptable and that anyone who actively seeks public office should never be allowed in.

My morning coffee is almost finished with no question to melt my brain.

I actually fear when this is over. The withdrawal. Is this Stockholm?

    Dublin won four All-Ireland hurling finals between 1917 and 1927 (1917, 1920, 1924, 1927).
How many dubs won an All-Ireland medal across this period?

    Edit: As player obviously

Edit No.2: If ye like word games there will hopefully be a game of codenames starting today. As with anything the rules make it hard to understand but its very easy to play and very easy to just play a small part in a game to try and get a better understanding of the game. Sign up here

You're right - the population of Dublin now is half a million, must have been less then. So four finals, maximum of 2 million, right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,862 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Since it has come up I'll clarify.

The only criteria is that they are from Dublin and won a medal for playing in any of the four finals mentioned.

Other medals don't count but if a guy played in all four finals he is one person.

If that makes any difference to you feel free to resubmit

    So, only hurling?

    And only those four matches?

I was about to answer an entirely different question!

(That's not to say the answer wouldn't have been the same random number, mind you.....)

    I think it's A * B / C
But I had to guess what A and C are :p

Well I think I know what the maximum and minimum values are, but the problem is that there are a whole lot of intermediate values to choose from. Random guesswork it is so, for the 19th day in a row.

Mise. My maths formula is that 4 teams won in 11 championships.

    4x15 = 60 + probably 10 subs used =70
People may have won more than one medal
So minus 12 who have more than one= 58
Not all from Dublin hmmmm more or less than now.
    ( I have a pass so I don't care)
    Say 1/5 per team = roughly 3 x 4 = 12
    58- 12 =46

    My guess is 46

Totally random. Have a pass and it better not be taken back.

Oh lordy.... I've just spotted a fatal flaw in my reasoning.....

(actually a couple of them - serves me right for trying to rush an answer in before I headed out earlier)

Ah well, twas nice while it lasted!

Kathleen, I’m not sure I approve of you putting an answer on thread

And by not sure I mean don’t!
