Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The FIT is getting closer

    https://www.gov.ie/en/consultation/0ada2-public-consultation-on-a-micro-generation-support-scheme-mss-in-ireland/
Micro-generation is defined as micro-generation technologies, including micro-solar PV, micro-hydro, micro-wind and micro-renewable CHP with a maximum electrical output of 50kW, designed to primarily service the self-consumption needs of the property where it is installed.

Currently in Ireland there is no support scheme for this range of micro-generation technologies. There are a number of grant schemes available that support deployment of renewable technologies, particularly Solar PV, for self-consumption, such as the Domestic solar PV and Better Energy Communities schemes operated by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, and TAMS II operated by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

We are developing a Micro-generation Support Scheme which will support new micro-generation deployment, deliver a route to market for citizens and communities to generate their own renewable electricity like from solar panels on their roofs, and receive a fair price when they sell the excess into the grid.

The aim of this consultation is to gather stakeholder feedback on aspects of the proposed Micro-generation Support Scheme which may help to inform the delivery of the scheme.

The closing date for submissions is 5.30pm on Thursday 18 February 2021
