On Friday I ordered a new phone from Apple Ireland website.
When I looked at the tracking it is coming from the UK
As I understand it, goods from UK are subject to customs duty.
    How does Apple handle that?
I'm not going to pay duty when they could have shipped from an EU country!

Won’t be an issue. It’s the same as when you buy a new iPhone near launch date and it ships from China. Apple Ireland will have paid all relevant fees and charges for you (well it’ll be built into the price you paid on the IE site).

  • There's no duty due on phones.

An Apple Watch I ordered on the IE site arrived on Friday from the UK and there were no issues.

  • Thank you Creamy Goodness and Toto - as you said the new iPhone arrived with no issues.
