Good news or bad news for Frank if this happens? I'll side with the latter.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering a move to bring former manager Avram Grant back to Stamford Bridge to work with current Blues boss Frank Lampard.

The Russian billionaire believes Grant's experience could provide invaluable support to manager Lampard and his staff.

Yeah, think the upper hierarchy at the club meddling with the coaching staff is always a bad sign. Generally a sign that the end is nigh. Like Houllier coming in to co-manage with Evans, or Brendan Rodgers backroom staff being replaced the summer before he was axed. If it's not Lampard's decision, then it points towards a lack of faith in him and his decision making.

Ryan Fraser with a contender for dumbest red card of the season

Two yellow cards in about 3 minutes. Second one was laughably dumb. Nowhere near the ball took a swing and smashed McGoldrick

Not good looking for Frank. He spent alot of money and is sitting in 9th. Roman isn't known for his patience.

Thought he'd make it to the summer. Doubt it now tbh.

Suppose it depends on who's available. Could go for Allegri as a solid, tactically astute option. Or Tuchel for a bit more innovation in attack - and works well with the German league theme there with Pulisic, Werner, and Havertz. Not the msot charismatic fella though!

Either are clearly better managers than Lampard (not a high bar), but I guess the question is if they can do better in the summer. But having said that, if they don't move fast, CL football next year might be off the table, which I'd imagine they need for the cash after the big outlay.

Sheffield United could be about the win their first game of the season.

Have only 1 point from 16 games?
Don't worry, here's a game against Newcastle and Steve Bruce!

That was nearly a farce at the end

Just spotted Cutrone has been recalled by Wolves. Good move really with Jiminez out another while. Have to figure he'll be starting for them by next week. Love to see him regain his Milan form, looked a proper player for a while there.

    Nice finish by Neves 1-1

Did Bailly go off in his last game with a head injury or concussion? Surprised he’d be playing if that’s the case?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,142 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Shaw could have broke his leg there. Shocking reffing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,237 ✭✭✭This is it

Both fouls I think, Brady's definitely and lucky not to see red. Thought Shaw went through the player so foul in the previous phase

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,385 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Shaw's going to save Brady from a red card here.

Jaysus, Shaw's much worse than I thought

Anything but red for Shaw here and I give up with VAR

Yea I thought he just got the ball. Looking at the replay it looks it should be a free for Burnley.

I don't think that's a red for Shaw. Definitely a yellow and I've no idea why the ref is looking at the Brady foul.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,665 ✭✭✭doc_17

Both are difficult decisions in fairness, could easily be red but hard to give in real time.

    It's a bad challenge but I don't think it's a leg breaker

Got to the right decision in the end.

Shaw lucky enough I think having seen that a few times

He could have broke his leg, it's a red all day. It was mid shin
