Hi all. I'm considering moving back to Eir for basic FTTH bb. Am with VF at present (2 years) and paying €55 monthly. Eir have an offer for new customers of €29 monthly for the 1st 12 months (12 month contract).
Just wonder if the fact that I moved from Eir 2 years ago qualifies me as a new customer.
I'm pretty sure it does, but I can't find it in their T&C's.
    Thanks.

    You aware that's 150Mb? Vodafone offer 500Mb for 30p/m

The VF offer is only for new customers who purchase online.
I've just been talking to VF and the best they will do at the moment is €45 for the 1st 12 months..... if I sign for 18 months.
I am already on a 150 Mb plan with VF and it more than covers my needs.

I am with eir (3years) and they do have a lot of bad press but i think that goes with all providers, bad experiences have people looking elsewhere, no doubt.
To their credit I was about to ditch them for VF new customer deal that was similar with eir only i was existing customer so not available. The 'chat' service came up with figures more than I was paying already. Drafted switch letter and phoned eir switching/cancellation, who remarkably answer almost immediately unlike regular customer (not!) service. They wanted to know why i was moving, told them wanted to pay less not more, hey presto sorted, everything i have now with increase from 300 to 500mbps, and 10 euro cheaper. No brainer. I think they are trying to improve their service and i have no complaints other than you have to take a circuitous route to get what you want.

1901. option 3 and option 3 again (i think) - once you get past all the irrelevant ****e.

    i'm still on hold.

i went to sales first (1800 773 729) as i knew they would answer quickly. They offered me 36.99 per month for the first 6 months and 56 for the next 6 months so i said no and asked to be transferred to cancellations to try and get a better offer. Sales lady said that i also had the option of just switching without having to cancel first.

if they don't answer soon, I'll just do that.
