Hi I am struggling to find a place to rent in Waterford. it's always a frustrating process looking for accommodation. I'm not looking to share so ideally looking for like a self sustained apartment or like a one bedroom apartment or a small 2 bedroom house.

I'm trying to find places just outside Waterford City like Tramore, Ardkeen & Ferrybank as prices in the city quite high but I'm not finding many places at the moment. I'm mobile as I drive so living just outside Waterford city is handy. I'm checking daft and rent.ie on a daily basis. I saw a nice one bed studio apartment in Tramore for €700 monthly but unfortunately landlord only looking for short term let which is no good to me.

I'm looking to move out of my current place before the end of this month as its too run down with serious dampness issues and unfortunately landlord not willing to spend a penny to fix the roof issues and after getting a quotation from a roofer yesterday I now know why lol

Generally very hard to find places in December/start of Jan - they'll probably start appearing for rent again now. I have daft alerts set up for rentals in Dungarvan and Tramore and haven't received much in a while. I'll be moving from Dublin though so everything seems cheap to me. :)

Would agree this time of year is not a good time to be looking for a place, went through it myself and had zero luck so ended up staying with a friend for few months.

Ring around the estate agents and let them know youre looking. They often have places to rent and dont advertise.

try Liberty blue on parnell street too.

There are always apartments in penrose court and rossgrove court for rent. Not the best areas but if you are in a rut.
