Most of the 2nd hand sites don't allow search back to 2001. So I'm wondering if our 2001 Yaris can be sold? It runs like a dream, such a great car, hate to see it not be used....and ideally I would like to make a few quid selling it!

Any suggestions on where/how to sell, assuming it has some value?

Have a look at donedeal to see what they roughly asking for them. It will always have a value to someone but it might be a challenge for a buyer to get insurance on it due to it's age.

There's always someone to buy them. Even with no NCT you'd get 2 or 300 for it.

    Thanks. Has NCT to April.

An economical car with a low motor tax and a timing chain rather than a belt has worth.

worht 500-1000 if in good nick with NCT, maybe good for 250+ for a parts car for someone else. Wash and take some good photos then sell on done deal / advert

If it’s running ok and in good order stick it in donedeal for €500. Someone might be glad of it as a first car

The problem with old cars is getting insurance. Someone might want to use it for rallying or racing or similar though.

I think the days of getting €1k for a mk1 Yaris are gone. If it has a new test, body ok and sensible mileage i'd say you'd get 6 or 700 max.

Mk2's which aren't necessarily a better car have come down a lot in price.
