Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was talking to a neighbour about her elderly mother yesterday who had bit beeen doing so well . She was saying they thought she would nit be around for long. She died at 6 o clock this morning.

I can’t inagune what it’s like to lose someone on Christmas morning, even when it’s expected. Added to that there’s 15 kids so they won’t all be able to go to the funeral

A very good friend of mine was buried yesterday and I couldn't go to the funeral. Yes it sucks, yes it hurts. But like everything else in 2020 it's a matter of picking up and carrying on. In a normal year I be think close to Christmas would hurt so much more than any time of year but this year I think any time of year is tough. One of the hardest things is not being able to hug people to console them.

In situations where immediate family members more than 10 surely they won’t be told to go away though?

I would imagine they'll be told that only 10 are permitted and asked not to put the undertaker or priest in a difficult position where some would be asked to leave.

She was buried yesterday, they allowed just her children into the church which is only right. It’s a huge church so 15 people can very easily be spaced 2m apart.

Tbh, if i was in the situation, i'd say to the priest or undertaker if they werent comfortable in the situation, they would be more than welcome to leave...

Happened to a neighbour of mine some years ago. Their mother was poorly in hospital and just as they were sitting down to dinner they got a call to come to the hospital immediately and she was dead when they arrived

Locking thread as it’s over a year old now and you’re replying to your own old thread now.
