Would anyone have some nice Irish phrases to use with a new baby like
Codhladh sámh or A chroí etc.

    Mise & mo ghasúir:

"Mo ghrá thú - Mo ghrá thú níos mó - Mo ghrá THUSA níos mó - Mo ghrá THUSA - Mise tusa - NO! Mise TUSA - Mise TUSA" &rl &rl.... (Tá duine acu fós óg:))

"Mo ghrá geal" (Can also be said sarcastically...)
"Is breá liom thú" (Can also be used when they're looking for something. Said pleadingly....)

A mhaicín ..... ('My little son'. Can be said lovingly or when they're in trouble = "Goille anseo tusa, a mhaicín!!!")

Another great book with hundreds of rhymes, word play, ladder stories etc etc is Cniogaide Cnagaide.
It's for a parent - or teacher - to dip into and find something useful.

Also A Stór is a Stóirín by Padraignín Ní Uallachaín, a CD with around 20 songs for grown-ups and another 20 for children, lullabies etc. It comes with a booklet which has the words and the music too.
Available at the link below, where you can also here a taste of each track - the first children's song is no. 19, if you want to skip the adult songs!

Níl sí ag teacht go dtí deireadh na míosa seo, ach táimíd tar éis an crib a chur le chéile inniu. Agus tá an suíochán ullamh sa ghluaistéan ón deireadh seachtaine seo caite.

Anois níl aon rud le déanamh ach leabhair a cheannach chun an dá theanga a mhúineadh di. :D
