Mayo just aren't good enough. Dublin aren't amazing either. Yet they've another hollow All-Ireland.

    Lol.

    Yeah.

They'll be disgusted with themselves. No other county has to deal with these hollow victories. I don't know how Dublin cope, year after year.

I see Dublin won all their home games again

Should be a good return leg in Castlebar at least

Dublins strength and conditioning is ridiculously on another level

9.7 for Scully there. Double rotation, beautiful.

Great leap and spin from Scully.

Awful to watch Dublin diving and killing time. As if they don’t have enough tricks to hand

Does Scully think he's auditioning for a ballet, or playing in La Liga/Serie A? So much diving and rolling around by him.

Haha mad how THAT is a yellow and the hit on Keegan wasn’t even a free.

That's the funding benefit in action

After playing well below themselves for the majority of the match Dublin probably have this without getting out of second gear.

He's about 9 stone, it wouldn't take much

The attitude expressed in your post is why Dublin keep winning. Lots of complaining and whining - these games are won before the throw in. Like Dublin in the 2000s, there’s lots of talk about wanting to win but the hard mentality and will to do the difficult thing isn’t there.

    Dublin just want it more.

Boring. Time to ban professional teams from an amateur sport.

I thought it was a good final. I am not from Dublin. Mayo had there chances but very wasteful this half

Mayo just running out of steam at this vital time.

Free in for the Dubs there no?

No point blaming the referee, Mayo are totally inept at trying to beat Dublin. Their lack of consistantly scoring forwards is their downfall. Andy Moran was their only class forward for many years.

Yeah.. Dublin's mentality and their massive volunteering is the reason why they're winning. :pac:

Really coming to the front in the last 10 minutes. You can see professional athletes v amateur athletes.

He quite clearly played the ball on the ground there...

    Then we have more playacting

  • Dublin in 3rd gear. A canter.

Mayo had their chance again. Dublin were very poor 1st half, also down a man at start of 2nd half - so Mayo had the break to plan to exploit this.

But Dublin are just class, 6 in a row legends. Makes up for all that heartbreak and disappointment during the naughties.

    Ah the Joy of 6!

All I can think of looking at this is Caster Semenya.

Scully has had so many fatal hits today, I'm surprised he's not dead.

He is an absolute disgrace. Shows the character in the Dublin team to see such play acting.

Especially when the challenges that warranted Scullys reaction were actually made toward Mayo players.

If you're gifting goals after 15 seconds, you can't really blame the referee for your downfall.

Congratulations to the professional gym monkeys. It always seemed like there was another gear in the tank for them when they needed it. And why wouldn't there be with the resources they have to throw at the team and backroom staff. Another All Ireland with an asterisk next to it.

2020 #In the mix for six
    2021 #Seven would be heaven
    2022 #Eight would be great
    2023 #Nine would be fine
    2024 #Ten for the men
2034 #Twenty is not too plenty
    2064 #Fifty would be nifty

Who cares anymore? Football is officially dead
