Pretty much. I've heard good things, so I'm not worried about the gameplay, just interested to see how it performs in handheld now (reviews are on the original version pre any patches)

Big sale on now, 60 games on my DekuDeals list are on sale. :pac:

Site is crashing right now so I'll have a good look later.

Ni No Kuni down to €14.99 for those that missed it, not as cheap but still cheaper than in store prices from Gamestop and CeX

    Any Christmas eShop sale upcoming

Thought there was one last year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,387 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Christmas eve next Thursday I'd say we will see some drops in between now and then as Mr E posted earlier a rake of stuff has dropped today. Standout for me is Streets of Rage 4 although I am tempted to see if it plummets in Smyths or Argos next week.

I loved Xtreme G Racing Association on PS2 so I've been waiting for Fast RMX to drop for a while. 50% off. Excellent.

Edit: down from 20 euro to 10 euro.

A great list on hukd of the massive reductions in the sale, unfortunately the prices are in sterling so they will be slightly higher in Euros.

I'd definitely recommend picking it up at some stage if you liked the originals. They did a great job of recapturing the spirit of the games

Ok last time I'm gona mention it but Party Crashers is 90% off. Down to 1.50. This is great multiplayer fun for kids (or kids and adults) if looking for some cheap games to load onto Switch for Christmas. Also lets you split joycons for multiplayer like mario kart.

Gameplay and details on the race formats and weapons

Can't find it on the eshop for some reason.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Well that's awful news with 10 days notice Parcel Motel are stopping virtual addresses.

Well sounds like AddressPal will get a lot more customers. Though I was wondering about those services. Can see them being phased out

An Post AddressPal are now the only provider left providing this redirect service from the UK

Maybe Parcel Motel will restart again - remains to be seen. DPD / Parcel Wizard are gone

There will be extra charges and only delivery to home address (more expensive) for AddressPal now

Plus any additional customs and duty charges due to Brexit

    https://addresspal.anpost.ie/terms-and-conditions#:~:text=PLEASE%20NOTE%20ADDRESSPAL%20SERVICE%20IS%20CHANGING&text=From%201%20January%202021%2C%20%E2%80%9CAddressPal,that%20date%20are%20not%20affected.

After January 1st Addresspal will actually still allow you to redirect to a local Post Office for collection there once it's processed, they'll send you a text or email with the redirect options. I think prices start at €6.95 so a lot less value in that regard.

    Plus possible VAT.
€25 game could end up costing €38.66

Remains to be seen how this whole thing will effect Argos Smyth's and GameStop prices given how much of their stock would pass through or come from UK distribution services and centres. All this kind of stuff should have been sorted months ago but come what may in two weeks time buying things online and in shops is gonna be a whole lot more complicated.

Got my last Amazon UK order in for Mario 3D All Stars. £10 off for buying through the app so coming in around €26 delivered. A nice farewell purchase!

Brexit won't affect Amazon UK deliveries. They will pre charge customs fees and refund it if no customs end up being applied, just like with orders from Amazon US or Japan.

Still makes items more expensive no? Would put me off buying stuff, bought a few things from the us and never got refunded on customs

maybe but games are going to get more expensive such that it not be much cheaper than buying from Smyths... not to mention the headache of delays etc at customs

It won't. Amazon don't charge a customs clearance fee like An Post, it will be the cost of the item ex VAT + Irish VAT like it currently is. If you go over €150 you will have duty as well though.

if anything will make Amazon even more dominant, from an Irish perspective.

I have it on the WiiU and the Switch and... well I tried to like it but it's all quite limited compared to either FZeroGX or Wipeout 2097/3/Pure/Pulse.
    Still, I did buy them...
