Discoloration of water/yellow

    Hi. Moved into a new build two weeks ago. The water coming from the tank for the bathrooms (sinks and toilets) is still a good bit yellow. I thought this would go away with time, but after two weeks it’s still very noticeable. Not on the normal kitchen sink and less yellow when using warm water (as I suppose mains water is mixed with the yellow one)

    Anyone could know what this could be? I notified today the foreman, but don’t know when it’ll be able to be looked at with Christmas coming

    Have a look in the attic tank and see if there’s dirt in it

    I’d say it’s a tank issue, but wouldn’t have a clue about how to look at it

    Go into attic. Locate plastic tank . Open lid look inside.

    Nice guidelines. I will try to follow them carefully. :)

    I suppose there will be a way to close the water coming in and I’ll just open a tap to empty it?

    Depends on installation . You'd have to look. If there's not you tie up the ballcock. And let the bathroom taps drain the tank. Then clean it out. Milton is good for this and a scrubber.
